DTG: Killzone Takes a Jab at America
In Killzone, the Americans became brave, noble, all-powerful and – oh, yes – the game’s ISA protagonists. In the back story, the Helghast are quite simply the victims, and Guerrilla Games (who are Dutch) had to think of a way of stopping people from seeing the Helghast as victims. Guerrilla had to make enemies out of the Helghast just for the thousands of hours and millions of Euros that goes into a game like this to amount to something, and the best way of doing this is – of course – making them Nazis.
