The review on The Bitbag reads, "Geon: Emotions is a puzzle battle game from Strawdog Studios, published by Eidos Interactive. Its take is rather different from the standard "Line up dropping/appearing objects faster than your opponent" competitive puzzler, in that players are often competing in the same field and can directly affect each other. Essentially, Geon is competitive Pac-Man in a sense."
Strawdog Studios: These days, being an independent game developer is just as much about being a business man and fund raiser as it is about development and delivering risky and original products. One is infinitely more enjoyable than the other, but to be honest we often approached the securing of externals funding as a exciting challenge.
Before we could secure development funding we needed to secure a digital route to market and since we had an excellent relationship with Microsoft via our development of ‘Geon’ on XBLA, we decided to pitch them the idea whilst at GDC 2007.
Strawdog Studios, the small Derby based team responsible for the successful Geon series, is set to launch their latest title on Xbox LIVE Arcade very soon. Electronic Theatre was given the opportunity to get hands-on with Space Ark recently, and also secured the chance to get to know the team that little bit better with an exclusive Question & Answer (Q&A) session.
