Secret Level Ep. 13 – PAX East 2011 – Brink Is the Most Innovative Shooter of 2011

This past weekend at PAX East 2011, I had the privilege to preview Brink, an upcoming first-person shooter developed by Splash Damage and published by Bethesda Softworks. During my preview I discovered very quickly that Brink is a different kind of shooter altogether, as I gracefully maneuvered through the game’s colorful settings and competed with my teammates in highly rewarding mission-based gameplay. I also had the honor of speaking with Ed Stern, Lead Writer for Splash Damage. He provided an amazing overview of the design and inspiration for every aspect of the game. There are so many ways that Brink is breaking away from first-person shooters and thinking outside of the box. Other developers need to stand and pay attention because Brink is going to deliver and breathe new life into the genre
