I (Robin Ek, TGG) am very sad to inform you all that Red 5 Studio's have decided to close down their "sci-fi F2P MMO/Open world game "Firefall". Here's what's known for now.

This is sad news, because I always felt there was great potential with this game but it never got to where it could be.
Plus this was the only game to ever use the Project Offset engine too. Project Offset never came out so getting to see what it could do was the closest we ever got because of this game.
The weekend is coming up, and some of us are looking to enjoy a lazy weekend of video games in our most comfortable seat. If you’re looking for something to pass the time on Sunday, The new Firefall event might be the perfect way to do so. Red 5 Studios will be holding another Chosen offensive life event. Just like previous events, players will get a chance to fight developer controlled monsters.
Red 5 Studios announces the release of Update 1.2: Together Toward Victory for the MMO shooter, Firefall. This new update introduces a plethora of new content including more open-world encounters, improvements to Broken Peninsula PVP continent, and the very first 5-man instance, Operation: Miru. These exciting new challenges are available to all players, absolutely free.
Love this game. Im a lvl 32 assault at the moment. takes forever to develop the REALLY good weapons. But what a cracking game. looks awesome on my PC, too!I only wish I had more PC gamer friends to play it with. Mining is a nightmare with just two people, when you are in sertao.But I need my tungsten!
