Homefront: We'll make sequel longer if fans complain, says Kaos

Kaos has told CVG that Homefront 2 will be longer in the single-player department - if fans complain en masse about the first game's five-hour campaign length.

Where the hell did i say it was the same ? It's subpar on consoles , and also subpar on pc compared to other games . It just happens to be better than the console version obviously .

homefront is a good game, in my opinion

I've enjoyed many games that most people think are bad, Deadly Premonition and Bionic Commando come to mind. Now it seems that I can add Homefront to that list. I just hope the online community for the game sticks around because I am having a blast.

This humvee drove by I threw down a c4 charge, blew the it the fuck up, hip fire killed a dude who jumped out of the humvee at the last minute, that gave me enough points for that little helicopter drone that shoots rockets. I proceeded to kill a sniper who was chilling on a giant billboard, the ragdoll on his body had everyone laughing. Then I chased down some dude with the same drone, we were weaving in and out of hallways. It was fun. Damn fun. All those things I just mentioned combined could not be done in either COD:BO or BF:BC2 and thats why I am enjoying Homefront.

I too have played MAG and Warhawk, so I have to ask where in MAG or Warhawk did you use battlepoints to buy a drone helicopter to shoot people with rockets. Warhawk does have flying vehicles but could you fly them into a building with tight corridors and down narrow hallways. While MAG has no aerial vehicles or drones to operate at all.

Are you sure you played MAG and Warhawk, since you cant do what I've described in either game.

There is no way, BTW, you could prove that Homefront is great. It just isn't. It's nothing original, nothing of über high quality in terms of graphics, physics or story telling and there's not a ton content or variety either...
Sure it might be fun for a while and newcomers may find it more original than it is, but that's it.

in my original comment all I said is that it was a good game "in my opinion" and I gave an example of the fun I had. A moment of fun that other games I have been playing recently have not given me, due to the interesting combination of elements the game provides.

Seriously, these are some of the worst graphics I have seen this gen. Compare it to other recent UE games like Bulletstorm and ME2(PS3), these graphics are absolutely horrific. Despite contrary claims from THQ, Homefront is just another A game being masqueraded with AAA marketing.

If what they have in homefront is all they could put on 7.5gb of space then they will need 2 discs and at the state THQ is in they probably wont allow that.

Just do it anyways, fans of the game shouldn't have to complain for something to be done. If it's a problem, change or feature that is the creators know is needed/wanted for Homefront or Homefront 2, just make it happen.

I got a better idea than making it longer and improving visuals next time. Give all your assets to any other FPS Dev team out there and then go play some FPS games for a few years.
This time, look at the game and everything in it.

The Graphics Queens are out in force with this one, Kaos is a small Dev studio and theres only so many resources they can put into a game concerning graphics.

Despite what you think Homefront is NOT an AAA title.

I dont really care for campaigns anymore in games, they stopped being fun and interactive long ago.

The multiplayer is solid and alot of fun with 32 player chat (HEAR THAT DICE?) and 16 player parties (DICE?!). (im not saying th BF series are bad, they are great games just I want to talk to more than 4 people on my team, I want to say to that duface camp sniping when hes on attack "get in the fight!")

The battle point system stops team killing for vehicles, stops scores of people camping for a chopper, stops vehicles being a dominating factor, stops lone wolf play and encourages team play.

The single player is extremely lack luster, it looked crap from the very beginning......lets be honest.

Play Homefront online with a squad of 10 or more XBL friends, stick together and move like a unit and tell me you arent having fun.

And Kaos you nail the multiplayer pretty well so maybe make the next title a multiplayer only?

Their single player was a good attempt, but they obviously had to put more work into the multiplayer that you like so much, which explains why FPS games sell and why the campaign was about 5 hours.

Though it could use more civilian interaction moments and more hours of playtime, I enjoyed the SP. Bot I also gotta hand it to ya for not being as unrealistic as these Graphic Drama Queens.
