Twitter has been flooded with unconfirmed reports that the man responsible for Pokemon, Satoshi Tajiri has passed away in the tsunami that rocked northern provinces in the wake of yesterday's earthquake. While there is cause for concern, it should be noted that we're currently seeing conflicting reports, with some Japanese users tweeting that he is alive and well.
[Update #1: Maritus News is claiming Tajiri is alive and well after having merely fainted. Their story states that he resides in Tokyo, and was not a victim of the flood. That said, it's very likely the rumor is false, however it's still no confirmation. No statement has been issued by Tajiri, Gamefreak, or his loved ones as of yet. To be fair, The Pokemon Company operates quite independently, so it wouldn’t have been that strange for a Pokemon game coming out in just the 2nd year of the S2’s life to still be crossgen. I mean, just how long into the PS5 and SX life are we and we are still seeing plenty of crossgen stuff

I've lost interest in pokemon, the mega evolve stuff was a poor digimon rip off, then the stuttering mess the 3d versions are.
