Twitter has been flooded with unconfirmed reports that the man responsible for Pokemon, Satoshi Tajiri has passed away in the tsunami that rocked northern provinces in the wake of yesterday's earthquake. While there is cause for concern, it should be noted that we're currently seeing conflicting reports, with some Japanese users tweeting that he is alive and well.
[Update #1: Maritus News is claiming Tajiri is alive and well after having merely fainted. Their story states that he resides in Tokyo, and was not a victim of the flood. That said, it's very likely the rumor is false, however it's still no confirmation. No statement has been issued by Tajiri, Gamefreak, or his loved ones as of yet. Until such time, we'll remain hopeful.]
Nintendo and The Pokemon Company's Pokemon Gen 10, codenamed Gaia, will be exclusive to the upcoming Switch 2, based on a new rumor.
Is anyone expecting anything less? It will be exclusive to Switch 2 eventhough it will still look like a 3DS game
not surprised.
nintendo was prepared to have some games sell the console.
im sure the game will still look like its from the ps2 era tho.
I've lost interest in pokemon, the mega evolve stuff was a poor digimon rip off, then the stuttering mess the 3d versions are.
I'd love a remake of gold/silver in a top down view like lets go pikachu had, but sticking with the traditional pokemon mechanics.
Pokecology is a real book based on the behavioral science and ecology of Pokemon, and it's coming (to Japan) in mid-June.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are set to receive upgrades for the Nintendo Switch 2 to improve performance when the new console launches later this year.
Probably rumors started by 4chan or something. another trending topic on twatter says that the created of hello kitty died too.
false
I thought it was just a clickjacker.
Like the Charlie Sheen has died stuff.
Well considering Nintendo said he was alive im pretty sure he isnt dead.
Just like the Pokemon franchise, Tajiri can never die.
