Is Homefront poised to shake up Online Multiplayer?

Homefront aims to do Online Multiplayer a bit different from its peers. Will its approach change the way we think about camping and killstreaks online?

I think more people would disagree with you than you think. It's breaking records for pre-orders for THQ. I decided to give it a try because it looks like it has really good ideas for multiplayer, every single preview from people who have actually played the game has been glowing, and I like supporting the little guy (THQ)rather than feeding the monster that is Activision.

look no further than one of the ultimates in competitive online shooters.Seriously with CoD ripping off more and more CS game modes and now other games ripping off its core. You owe it to yourself to experience why it's still one of the most played fps games today.

Your crappy dell or laptop could probably run it.

Completely agree with you, but the problem I, personally, had and many of my console to PC friends with CS is that it's not as accessible to play as COD or Battlefield as that the majority of people who play this game have been playing it for many, many years and you just get bullet-raped. So as someone new to PC FPS it is very off putting.

Come On Valve!!!! This looks brilliant but it's too damn hard to get into :P

I want this to be good but if any game is shaking up multiplayer this year it'll probably be Brink or BF 3.

i am looking forward to it:

singleplayer stroy written by the guy who wrote red dawn and apocalypse now, also devs inspired by half life 2.

multiplayer with dedicated servers, expanding battlefields ala bfbc2, tons of gadgets and vehicles, battle points system, in game ai director giving out objectives and placing bounties on players.

sounds fun to me

Tbh the advert makes this look good but i'm not investing my money into a questionable fps until I get a demo. It's a new IP and all new IPs thrive on demos to show they're good.. if a studio can't put up to show they've got something special, i'll see it as it being just another boring fps game.
