Despite all these small additions the core of Pokemon is still its most rewarding asset. Nurturing a lowly Pokemon, giving it a name, then watching it evolve it into something ferocious/disgusting/hilarious (delete as appropriate) is tremendously satisfying. The formula that was established fifteen years ago is still as invigorating today as it was then.
