Heinrich has endlessly roamed the lands for a hundred years. In life, he ended the lives of convicted witches. Gretchen, one of the very witches he beheaded, has been resurrected by her apprentice for one purpose: to stop her sisters’ quest to exact revenge on humanity and reset the cycle of life. Before her death, Gretchen placed a curse of immortality upon Heinrich. When they finally meet, she makes him an offer: she will lift her curse and allow him to perish once he has helped her stop her sisters. The catch is that though she has come back from the dead, she is not immortal and needs Heinrich’s protection.
