Top Spin 4’s Demo Smokes Top Spin 3’s Entire Game

Gameplay designer for Top Spin 4, Remi Ercolani wasn’t kidding about the many gameplay improvements Top Spin 4 has over Top Spin 3. The game is much more fluid and better suited for all players than its predecessor in every way.

Yea the demo's length itself is annoying. The demo does show the potential of how Top Spin 4 has improved over Top Spin 3 in terms of the gameplay however.

with TS3 there was a sense of power and angle now it borderline pong. you feel slower it hard to hit powerful shots and they never feel powerful.

plus my first two match before i deleted it i won. on hard my first time i won WTF in TS3 on Very hard i could never win if that was my first time playing.

also the R1 to relocate and take the net is stupid. i keep running up when i try to get back to the center.

i wish more people played TS3 it has its problems but gameplay is really fun

I completely know what your saying! TS3 felt more like a simulator with some arcade elements going on. This new Topspin felt kinda weird to me, i honestly did not like the feel of your player swinging the raquet and movement.

I dont know what this guy is talking about! This new one did seem too easy. Me an my gf play TS3 and she even digs it!

I used to play Virtua Tennis all the time on the dreamcast and even the latest one, but something about TS3 that got me hooked!

yeah dude. i was surprised that the game doesn't take full advantage of Move like how that table tennis game does. to lobe it front, back etc i have to press extra button. why can't i just use the 'direction' and speed of my racket/move?

Didn't know you need to play tennis with two hands - and two rackets. Nav controller? Yeah...come on 2K. You can track the position of the move in 3D space...please some one tell them!

true the only thing that didn't improve is the graphics but overall its better than 3

how TS4 is slower, you don't feel as powerful, you can't hit crazy angles.

i hit like 3 inside out forehands in a row with federer and i didn't win the point.

i am glad VT is also coming out soon TS 1-2 had greatness than with 3rd they messed up the gameplay with the 4th same problems and now its slower

The 2 Tennis games I ever got into was Mario Tennis(N64) and a PS2 Tennis game that I still have somewhere.

As far as the Top Spin 4 demo goes, I don't like the movement of the characters. I find it slow. The player movement really reminds me of how flawed the movement in GTA4 and Read Dead Redemption are.

also Its kinda lame that the demo expires after 1 set.

yeah, I played it aswell.. it was real slow... the demo itself in general.. I didn't like the presentation...

you couldn't even select rematch... which I found bull...

it looked good. i played both the men and female... my best game I lost 4-7... slowly started figuring things out.. but the demo was over by than... so I deleted it...

hopefully VT will be better.. i was looking forward to a pretty good tennis game... i'll just wait and see what the reviews are.... either way I'm getting "The Show" in a day.

No, they are pretty shitty. Seriously, the exact same controls as the Wii. WTF. Take advantage of Move, please...we'll get more crappy ports.
