Most Anticipated Games of 2011

PXG writes: 2011 is still in its infancy, and we haven’t really seen much ground-breaking games. Today we finish compilation of the most anticipated games of 2011. The list contains mostly sequels, (probably the year of sequels?) and represents a wide library of 2011 most anticipated games.

I applaud someone trying to get into this game cold. I have always wanted to play it, but never was able to commit to it.

1. Battlefield 3
2. L.A Noire
3. Infamous 2
4. Uncharted 3

But if i only ever get Battlefield 3 i'd be more than happy because its gonna be hard to give anything else a try lol

Trunkz5168d ago

BF3 should 100% be on any list.

jerocarson5169d ago

Nice list, i'm particularly interested in the last guardian.

Kran5169d ago

Seriously? You put GTA V on the list? It's not even been announced yet, and theres a tight schedule in 2011 so i doubt it'll even be released this year. Maybe next year though.

kosovo5169d ago

from the artilce "Some have not been revealed, but we believe they coming and coming real fast"

Hanif-8765169d ago

If GTA V were to be announced anytime this year 2012 is the soonest we could expect it L.A Noire is already coming out. I honestly don't think that they'd want one to stifle the next.

MrBeatdown5168d ago

Makes sense. But if they could get GTA5 out the door in the fall, I think they'd do it, regardless of LA Noire. That then gives them room for GTA expansions in the spring and Agent in the fall of 2012.

Plus, I'm sure they'd like to leave some space for a third GTA before this generation wraps up so getting GTA out the door sooner rather than later seems like the better option.

proudly_X5168d ago (Edited 5168d ago )

you are absolutely right, GTA 5 this fall, the game doesn't need hype . . just a release date and the deal is done. . .

limewax5168d ago

A pretty important contract ends sometime in 2012, I doubt its going to be 2011 purely for that.

Get GTAV out just before the contract ends, Sit and think what their next move is.... I reckon this is what theyre going to be doing

Im actually looking more forward to Saints Row 3. GTA4's car physics and sluggish(realistic pfft) gameplay turned me off. Turned me off bad.

For me its

Motorstorm Apocalypse
inFamous 2
Uncharted 3
Socom 4
Twisted Metal
Star Hawk
Elder Scrolls
and Maybe Battlefield 3 if there is more than 5 online maps. Im not falling for the same crap they did with BC2. Act like im getting all these new maps for free when all I got were the same maps but with different vehicles.

Huge difference i must admit, but not sure i would notice without 2 screens next to each other.

Not getting this game still, i want a new game and im tired of remasters

Muigi4h ago(Edited 4h ago)

It’s $10 and there are plenty of games out there for you.

Flewid6383h ago

Then its not a huge difference?

Remastered.....

Sony is now remastering games with 71s on metacritic.

Like that's a judge of anything
This game got scored before it was released.

andy854h ago

Days gone is 85+. It got heavily marked down at launch for bugs where as others get a free pass for that. It's a fantastic game.

andy854h ago

I spoiled myself by modding this game on my PC. Genuinely one of the best looking games I've ever seen. Whilst this remaster looks nice it just doesn't compare to that sadly. It shows the effort that these remasters could put in if they wanted

REDGUM4h ago

I so hope this game or DLC for those of us who own the original sells well.
Ive said it before, its an underrated game for sure & was unfairly judged upon release.
Please try this game if you haven't already.

For those who say 'i won't purchase digital only' you can pickup a hard copy for 5 bucks here in Australia, then add the DLC and you have a superb game for $20 or so.

Give it a shot, tell me I'm wrong After completing the game.

Game on gamers.

Review - Steel Seed (PC) | WayTooManyGames

WTMG's Kyle Nicol: "Steel Seed has everything that I love: explosive set pieces, stealth-focused gameplay and souls-like combat. Unfortunately, none of these elements work together here. Each part felt undercooked for an experience that I cannot recommend to anyone. Despite this, there’s a lot of potential there for something greater, and I hope we get to see a more focused game next."
