TimeGate Studios are preparing to launch the sequel to their 2009 multiplayer-orientated First-Person Shooter (FPS), Section 8: Prejudice, and now on the home stretch are revealing new details about the game’s functionality. Not only will the game offer dedicated servers for it’s online multiplayer, but also the X Server technology of the original Section 8 will return.
OXM UK: "It's heart-breaking when a development studio responsible for a game or series that you love closes down. Often, you'll remember them for the good times - the stand-out, stellar high points of their career - and not the decisions or titles that ultimately doomed them. Inevitably though, some studios come to be defined by their final release."
For a limited time only, Bundle Stars, the direct-to-consumer company focusing on digital downloads, is launching its biggest PC game bundle to date. Gamers have the chance to download and own 12 standalone PC games for the price of just $5.
Gearbox may very well have been the primary developer of the game, and if that's the case, why is Timegate closing down today and not Gearbox?
The first game was a lot of fun. Glad to hear they will have dedicated servers as the first one was super laggy.
Lookin forward to it!
Send this Halo copy-cat to the gallows!!
Shame no one will support this tech.
User dedicated gaming servers a way to push the console online quality in the right direction but everybody will ignore it and play with p2p.
It's 15 bucks, has bots, and a five our single player that is not simulated arena play. So I'll buy it for sure.
Hopefully it turns out way better than Breach, Modern Combat:Domination, Hydrophobia, Mindjack, or Blacklight Tango Down did.
