Steampunk mixes with a lush post-apocalyptic world in Enslaved: Odyssey to the West for what some would say is the best story re-told this year.

Odyssey to the West is a futuristic re-telling of the ancient Chinese fable, Journey to the West, making numerous nods to the original tale throughout the adventure.

You assume the role of Monkey— an acrobatic, rough-and-tumble escapee who, in his breakout, runs into a young girl named Triptaka, or Trip. After the escape pod our protagonists are on crash lands, Monkey wakes with a pounding headache and some new jewelry to match. Trip informs him that she has put a slave helmet on him and that she requires his help to get home, whether he wants to offer it or not. Thus begins their journey… to the west.
