A supernatural horror action game with a story devised by the master myth maker, novelist and filmmaker Clive Barker. So Prepare yourself to fight the monstrosities of Clive Barker's Jericho through the PC demo
OPM: In a six year console cycle there are always going to be PS3 games that dropped off your radar entirely. Let’s take a look down memory lane at some games that you’ve probably forgotten even existed. Prepare to go ‘Oh *yeah*!’ several times over.
Since, from what I understand, PS4 will be a lot easier to program for, I am hoping we can see a lot more games that dont have a huge budget, but great ideas, come to light. Some of the best PS3 games were smaller titles that just exploded onto the scene. Valkyria Chronicles, LittleBigPlanet, DemonSouls, Folklore, ect.
Im glad Sony has such a big focus on indie games with the PS4
There's a reason why we forget certain games exist, apart from Folklore, that was a very interesting game.
I always say this, despite being a decent game, The Saboteur didn't receive the attention it deserved.
Clive Barker has made some good horrors, but Jericho is not one of them. Clive Barker has written some amazing horror movies as well as produced and directed them, his most famous being Candyman and Hellraiser. Considering his past work, we expected Jericho to be scarier than the first play through of Silent Hill 1 when we were 10. Sadly, it wasn't. The game starts out quite well by throwing you into the middle of a desert with ancient ruins and a strange tornado. You walk around for a while in your team leader Ross who is equipped with a nicely chosen G36c rifle until monsters run out in front of you and start attacking you. Considering this was written by an experienced horror writer, we were expecting a dark and creepy introduction and the first enemy encounter to be pretty horrifying. This was the first let down of many.
was ok but i wouldnt waste my money on this game.. To many good games coming out..
The difference between Clive Barker's Jericho and Undying is that Jericho comes from Clive Barker himself rather than just being endorsed by him, but is it any better because of it?
"It's good to look at (in places), has taxing puzzles (in places), different gameplay (in places) and can be quite enjoyable (in places). And that's the thing… as a whole, Clive Barker's Jericho never quite lifts itself above being a competent if repetitive shooter and that's a shame as what's here is just screaming of being a bunch of missed opportunities. "
That didn't look like anything to special?
I just got done playing it, and let me just say that this game is definitely nothing special. Not only is it not special, but the timed button sequences which we all know and love from the God of War series, are completely bastardized in this game. From the time they show you the button you need to press you literally have less than a second to hit it or you're dead. It took me at least 10 tries involving luck, memorization and button spamming to get past it.
the demo is bad-ass. short and sweet, all kinds of bloody goodness awaits you. three very different characters with very cool abilities. i was skeptical about this game, but after playing the demo i'll probably buy it.
Everyone has their own opinion, but from what I've seen from that demo, this game looks like it will be pretty good. You can tell that there is very little hype for this game. Most people haven't heard of it. I've been watching it's development for a few months. This game might just suprise alot of people and be a very enjoyable FPS. I love a blend of horror with any game, providing that it does this well. F.E.A.R is a good example of blending horror with an FPS. Another game I really enjoyed was The Condemned. I thought that game was amazing.
