These days everyone is looking for the new and quickest way to get in shape. Why not have fun while doing it any playing some of these exciting games that are definitely a challenge.
I have thought a lot about my mental health over the last few years and I believe that I’m less stressed and happier, because I play video games. I’ve always wondered why video games generate such a strong emotion in me and how this affects my mental health...
I like games. They make me happy overall and can wipe a frustrating day at work away. Even a badass boss fight or tough level in a game is good because eventually i will persevere and make the challenge i overcame even sweeter.
Yeah but they can also make you irritable and quick tempered. Im speaking of those who play MP particularly.
The way games are geared in modern games... now seems more towards fun and keeping the player occupied instead of entertaining with problem solving and creativity.... A good non gaming example of the two ..... I workout because I like to workout and have fun working out. Working out is very engaging and is hard work and very rewarding..... "BUT" it is not entertainment. I play volleyball and racquetball on occasions purely for enjoyment and while the friends I play make me work hard to attempt to win. The fun and enjoyment I receive when playing a game with my friends is different than my workouts at the gym.
This work leads to many things in gaming that eventually frustrates all of us at some point in a game...... Too many to list from bad level design choices by developers to glitches that developers did not find (or chosen not to patch at launch).....
Then add in our own stressful lives on top of that its like a powder keg ready to explode..... Game Developers are lighting the match when they should be putting the flame out.....
To many people I know talk about the controllers they've busted..... rage quit..... busted keyboards and mice.... its not that serious really peoples chill....
Its just a game...... Its supposed to make you happy....
Probably a lot of evidence over the years to prove just the opposite or we wouldn't have all those negative gaming terms...
With the recent release of Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto V, the media has been ripe with articles and interviews saying that it has in some way or fashion led to this violent crime or that horrible thing. While gamers as a whole are quick to vehemently defend themselves on this issues and raise concerns with the faulty logic being used in these arguments, all of this discussion does beg the question: does gaming have the potential to affect a person’s health and behavior, either mentally or physically?
My girlfriend hate that I play Dota 2.. Loosing a couple of games really get the bad mood out..
You'd be supprised!
It don't... Its the MENTAL HEALTH of the PERSON PLAYING the GAME, I wish people would understand this...
Games dont affect anything in anyone. If he gets mad after losibg that means he is either competitive or a loser. If he shoits up an area or kills himself he would already have that problem fro before.
I just skimmed the article, but video games are healthy for the mind, and body, by releasing hormones that relieve stress and other things. Unless it turns into an addiction, that's a personal problem. As far as negative behavior, keep it in the game and we are all good.
... What's all that talk about gaining weight?
It's as if having some fat was absolutely bad and would certainly lead someone to be less happy / healthy... Like : Society makes fun of stocky persons, therefore for your happiness you should conform to what society wants. Way to solve a problem, genius! (It mostly pisses me off because I find people to be much more attractive when they are round. Just my personal taste here...)
That part reads like a girl fashion/gossip magazine...
Anyway. Just wanted to point at that part.

Hi my name is Jay and I love playing video games. But sometimes I find it hard to play games and still feel the urge to work out when I'm done. I started doing this as a way to stay productive or fit while playing videogames. You may join my challenge if you like...
Your Shape: Fitness Evolved is pretty good.
Wii Fit is still the master
Cool stuff....
I've got that Wii version of Get Fit with Mel B on preorder. It's not on this list, but I'm hoping it's still good.
The biggest cock sucker should be up there.
