Young, male, probably blonde, sharp hair, almost certainly holding some sort of sword. It’s like I’ve ripped your head open and I’m staring at your brain! Does it hurt?!?
The point (I think) is that pretty much every lead character from every JRPG so far produced share many similarities. Thus was born this deconstruction of the JRPG stereotype. Depending on how sadistically minded you are you may, if you wish, replace the word ‘deconstruction’ with one of the following: examination, dissection, autopsy, exhumation.

Colliver's remake reimagines the original game as a platformer, with every scene, every location, every line of dialogue, and every song from the game's OST painstakingly implemented .
Yup, can't really disagree with that. It seems to be a fairly copy and pasted formula.
The JRPG Hero has a pretty stereotypical characterisation right enough. Surely they can give us something different for a change?
That's a pretty short list. Though the truth is you could deconstruct characters from any genre and they'll usually come out with as many if not more similarities than they've listed here.
