AC: The gaming rumor mill has been buzzing about a Halo: Combat Evolved remake and most gaming blogs have its release pegged for November 2011. The thought of a 10 year anniversary Halo: CE remake brings joy to my heart, but in order for it to succeed, Halo: CE will need to following changes.
Xbox Game Studios' Halo: Combat Evolved Remake is reportedly planned to release in late 2026 to celebrate 25 years of Xbox.
They coulda started with Halo 3 remake ... I know Halo CE remaster was not proper with the art style but still, remaking after a remaster seems dull, when Halo 3 and Reach have started to show some age.
A new Halo Combat Evolved glitch has been discovered that allows players to control the iconic Halo ring itself.
A new set of Halo: Combat Evolved glitches allow players to control enemies such as The Flood and fly The Pelican airship.
-Online MP: yes
-Better Graphics : yes
-An Improved HUD: maybe, but it's not really needed
-Battle Rifle: definitely not, it wouldn't be Halo 1 with a BR
-Theatre: that would be awesome, but not needed
No BR. aside from some touch up and multiplayer/theater there is NO need to change this classic!
No BR! aside from some touch up and multiplayer/theater there is NO need to change this classic!
The BR is definitely not needed. CE's multiplayer is great because there are no useless weapons (besides the needler :P)
And I'd disagree with them saying that the graphics of CE sucked. The indoor multiplayer maps still look good in my eyes. They're simplistic and not cluttered with crap all over the ground and walls, which is nice. Higher res textures and touching up the frame rate issues (possibly move it up to 60fps) would be great.
Leave the GAMEPLAY the same, but up the graphics a bit, add some good netcode, and add some more customisation options, if they can.
I couldn't care less for a campaign remake, as I still have my CE disk. Online multiplayer is where the remake is needed.
Or how about you don't change it at all, except for graphics.
Don't ruin this.
