Treyarch Wants Future Setting for Next Call of Duty Game

Speaking with Machinima.com, Design Director from Treyarch, David Vonderhaar, expressed interest in setting their next Call of Duty game in the near future.

It's turned into casual, overrated, mainstream and barely improves in its iterations and comes out EVERY SINGLE YEAR!

COD4 was amazing, but since then, MW2 and Black Ops are just disappointments and vastly overrated. Yet, I see people going crazy over CoD - people I know. This will happen year after year, and people will not learn. It's just like most licensed sports games.

F**k no. If anything we'll price it even higher. No point letting the fans know that pushing out a new COD title costs even less than releasing freeware. Pricing it higher will make them think they're getting something new and better than before.

Treyarch killed me with Black Ops, I probably have around 8-10 hrs on live since the midnight launch. Just a really disappointing game for me I'd rather play MW2 which I did do and only play zombies on BO. Either BO is a really bad game that set the bar high for badness or It just really sucks. MEH

Naa I meant a game like CoD, but with gameplay where you get to develop new weapons, supply the troops with various resources and such :) And then if you choose to, go into FPS-mode :) Would be awesome!

No wonder the majority of gamers are looked down upon. Treyarch bested Infinity Ward. It's that simple and I believe it's a great story in videogame history. I thought the video was a good interview, provoked thought, and it had a lot of smart questions, unlike this comment thread.
