Duty Calls: Better than Call of Duty?

Electronic Arts, Epic Games and People Can Fly ramped-up their marketing campaign for the forthcoming Bulletstorm today, with the launch of a brand new website and offer of a free game, Duty Calls. Duty Calls is of course ripping on the phenomenally popular Call of Duty franchise, but in that respect does it have the edge on Activision’s cash cow? Is that even a relevant question?

I had more fun taking a dump than playing COD...ok not rly but its pretty close...

huzzaahh2867d ago

Not that I don't like Call of Duty, but taking a dump is one of the most satisfying things in the known universe.

HappyGaming2867d ago

Yeah, taking a dump is right up there with the most satisfying things.

2.Getting a high score in an arcade game
3.Taking a dump

Actually I might have to change 1 with 2 when I think about it.

No,No,No... the correct order is,

1. Orgasm
2. Eat a good meal
3. Take a nice long sh*t!
4. Play games
5. Go to sleep

Watch for my new line of indie games coming up too:
War Gears
Final Phantasy
War in Worldcraft
and more!

This game is wayy better than COD.

The realism, the tension, the incredible special effects. It makes COD like an amateur b-movie. :P

It's sure to make a huge splash.

The damn thing stops installing half way through for me. It downloads though, but it wont finish the install. It just quits out, and I tried it multiple times.

damn that web site just made my computer have a stroke, froze for like 2 min then closed haha.

Well...regardless of Duty Calls... I wont be getting Bulletstorm. Cancelled my pre-order after playing the demo. To be fair, the game plays pretty well (Bulletstorm that is) but, the 15yr old inspired dialogue and un-inspiring game mechanics (my opinion mind you) left me feeling cold about the game. I suddenly realized I was only buying it for the Gears of War 3 beta...and that is not a good enough reason to spend $60 when there are so many other great games coming like Killzone 3, Socom 4, Shift 2, TDU 2, ...heck there are a ton. So, I cancelled it.

The small sample(DEMO)doesn't inspire much of the game but its worth for the funny laughable FPS moments that nowadays lacked. I look forward to it because FPS are meant to be fun.

Shackdaddy8362868d ago (Edited 2868d ago )

I agree with you. I really do think its just stupid humor. Setting someones ass on fire? Really? Its just annoyingly dumb. Like something I laughed to when I was in Jr. High.

Plus, after playing the demo once, it just got boring. Its too repetitive of a game...

But my opinion isn't the same as everyone else's so w/e.

LarsoVanguard2867d ago

Yes. I couldn't bring myself to finish the demo, I was so busy facepalming myself at the HORRIDLY juvenile dialog. To be honest, I LOVE the main character's voice actor, he's been a favorite of mine due to his work in anime for a long time, but the script of this game - Jesus... it's like I'm playing a shitty (read: all) Will Farrell movie.
