I don't really see why an extra game that's a 6/10 at best makes the score higher? That's like saying my tv is better because it comes with ten shopping channels.
If the other option was a tv with less channels for the same price?
You're getting a whole extra game for nothing - one which reviewed well on Wii [and within it's remastered HD form will sell for $15 on the Plastation Network] - and you're asking why that makes it better value?
Kudos for Gamespot for actually doing this. None of the other gaming sites have.
Well this is a turn up for the books. First time I think a PS3 score has been rated higher than 360 for the same game on gamespot. My guess is they are trying to get there karma back into place after giving Mass Effect 2 on PS3 a 8.5 after giving the 360/PC version 9.
hey thats true , why didnt extraction come out on 360, the damn game is already 2 disks lol. do you really need a button to point at things and say bang bang bang. lol like kevin put it.
I don't know if that's really a good reason to have a different score... I mean, the score should reflect the merits of Dead Space 2 and nothing else.
I get that a better score could be awarded because the PS3 version is the better 'package', but not a better version of Dead Space 2. It's a bit misleading.
Anyways >.>, uh, getting the collector's edition today in the mail. im ascited
totally agree, the game is the same. if they review the package, then they have to begin giving regular and special editions seperate scores, maybe re-reviewing games that get a price-cut, because lower price means "better" games.
Did they really give the PS3 version a higher score because of Extraction? It's only available in the limited edition version, so for the majority that buy the standard version, this score is meaningless.
Extraction really is awesome with Move.
wondering why other sites havnt done the same in their reviews?
thats nice to know :)
