TMA - An ant, a beetle and a spider walk onto a counter… no, this isn’t the start of some lame story from “1001 Bad Jokes To Tell Your Friends”. It actually describes the first level of the game Bug Heroes, a fresh take on the castle defense genre… or is it a dual stick shooter with castle defense elements? Either way it’s a lot of fun, though I’m just a bit disappointed that the difficulty levels aren’t balanced a bit better.
Here Comes the Boom. Like its predecessor, Bug Heroes 2 is a combination castle defense and third-person brawler with a little RPG thrown in for good measure. You control the soldiers on one side of a mighty insect war, where you balance protecting your base and food stash from an army of ants, slugs and other baddies with searching for resources and food.
TheAppera: Developed by Foresaken media, Bug heroes is a nifty blend of all three genres combining key elements of tower defence, some light RPG leveling and a huge helping of dual stick shooting to create something that truly stands out from other dual stick wielding games.Presentation.
Many iPhone games take a risk by mixing several different types of gameplay into one. Most of them fail and wind up leaving a bad taste in the players' mouth. Fortunately, Bug Heroes succeeds tremendously, and serves up a delicious cocktail of gameplay that is sure to leave you craving more.
