Kaos: 360 getting Homefront DLC first due to strong support from Microsoft

Homefront’s senior level designer Rex Dickson has said the reason Kaos Studios and THQ are releasing DLC for the game on Xbox 360 first is due to the support Microsoft showed for the game.

Honestly, this is the first time I have heard of this game.....Just watch some gameplay footage and it look like a every generic shooter. Will pass.

i agree. no interest in the game

Kaos Studios has a relationship with MS and 360 owners because of Frontlines. Is it realy that hard for you to use google? It's like how Kojima gives special treatment to Playstation owners even though they have games on other systems. Sony slips money Kojima's way the way MS is doing here.

Someone needs to reach through the internet and slap some reality in you.

I'm interested in this game, but I hate Microsoft's business practices. Although, all might be forgiven if GFWL is included in this deal.

@TheHater, you haven't been to N4G for awhile then (or any other gaming site for that matter).
I'm m interested in this game, story seems a bit far fetched, but still.
But common, KZ3, Crysis2 and Homefront all within a one month time table, why?

Shame. Nothing but timed DLC to shell out on.

Another big release...another game that is treating the 360 crowd with the respect it deserves...of course it helps if M$ throws them a couple of dollars from that massive 1.2 billion revenue generating XBL piggy bank...lol.

It might not seem fair to the " other " players but these games sell millions more on 360. If M$ didn't spend any money every one would complain they are greedy and don't care. If you missed it, Xbox 360 is getting an exclusive Crysis 2 multi-player demo beta and of course COD: black ops map pack first as well...money well spent if you ask me.

It's getting really busy all of a sudden with Bulletstorm and the gears beta, Crysis 2 beta and the black ops beta...it's only January...good times.

Crysis 2 beta looks hot....

I don't even want this game. Just another shooter. And with a dumb story. No way would North Korea ever be able to invade the US. At least make it a believable story. Maybe have it be Russia or China.

kancerkid5265d ago

Make it real, like Killzone, or HALO, you say? Or how about Alan Wake or LittleBigPlaent?

iceman065265d ago

Come on now...let's be real...or not. It's a fantasy future story loosely based on the political climate of today. According to the devs, it's not just North Korea but a nuclear North Korea that has united with or taken over much of East Asia and taken advantage of a United States weakened by economic downfall. It's basically a modernized version of Red Dawn (written by the same guy no less). This, and the guerrilla warfare aspects, are probably the only reason that Homefront is still a blip on my 2011 radar. But, to each his own.

Last week game dev Steve Thornton took to Twitter to ask: fellow devs, have you ever slipped something into a game you're working on that's just for you? The replies are well worth a read.
