How Long Does it Take To Fall From the Highest Point in Just Cause 2?

TitanReviews test how big the world of Just Cause 2 really is by flying to the top of the world and then falling all the way to the ground. The time it took is pretty mind boggling though.

Uh, I hate those kinda games (like this and GTA) where you can spend huge amounts of time just fooling around while your brain turns numb... And in the end... You've just literally wasted hours upon hours doing absolutely nothing worth anything.

It ALWAYS feels sad at the end, I realize that now.

Just Cause 2 represents all the fun factor that should have been in GTA 4. It was like playing San Andreas all over again, except with grapple hooks. Fun game, though. Plus, it had Youtube upload support for the PS3 version. I put up a few videos on my Youtube. (Pimpnmatt) Yeah, I know I need to change my Youtube username. hahaha

It's bigger than like 10 GTA:San Andreas put together... It's seriously that huge. Pretty good game to kill time, spent more than 30-40 hours just roaming and destroying stuff. And the graphics are good as well.

I wouldn't buy it full price. The world is big but it can seem very empty at points.

My main problem with it is that you have to do sidequests or travel around destroying random things in order to unlock each new story mission.

This would be fine normally but it takes a lot of side questing or a LOT of destruction to unlock each new story mission. The side quests are very cut and paste too. Imagine if GTA made you do two assassination or race side missions before every story mission.

The story missions are amazing though, real James Bond stuff. It's a great game that's been waaay too padded with needless monotony.

How do you have a disagree? N4G is full of idiots. How can you not understand terminal velocity? You won't burn up unless you go so high where there is NO air (IE space, which is why comets and the shuttle heat up, cause they enter the atmosphere at THOUSANDS of miles an hour, not 120mph [average terminal velocity for a human body]) and accelerate to a GREAT speed before hitting any air, then once you start to hit air (you are already way past terminal velocity), you start to slow down, however, the air is ripping past you so fast, you would probably get your clothes ripped off and limbs broken and cheeks ripped off.

That's good news. Hopefully some little issues get changed that kept this thing from being great instead of just really good. The one thing I thought would have improved the combat was just an uncharted style cover system, and the ability to buy more than one weapon or vehicle at a time. I always hated going through that dumb animation every time I wanted a new item. You want a shotgun two pistols and a car? You've gotta watch that animation 4 times.

But he's like a freaking flying squirrel in this game--he falls really, REALLY, slowly. Also, doesn't he not suffer fall damage if you grapple onto the ground before hitting it? I bet if he'd pulled that stunt over ground, he could've just grappled down and walked away! Plus, there's gotta be some crater in the game that's bellow sea level, which would actually make the fall longer--highest point to the lowest one.

No...Blaine is a character in Stephen King's Dark Tower books. Just wondered if you were a fan. If you haven't read them, they are great. The first seems strange but once you have read the 2nd book, you hooked. Peace.

I don't think he's falling too slow...2.5 minute fall is around 30,000-40,000 feet for skydiving, and the view from the plane seemed about right. And it always looks like people are falling slow, even though they are not.

Just Cause 2 is a very underrated game IMO. It has good graphics and gameplay, its just the story is quite weak. It also takes many hours to complete.(I have played around 40hours and only around 40% complete).
Its a fantastic game to just put on and have fun.

Underrated is what I would also say. Also I think it looks great especially the world more than the characters. What would be great would be a military sim type game in a world that size.

story is quite weak you say? the story is garbage at best! comparable to Mercenaries 2 and I think Merc2 is better executed story-wise compared to JC2! great things about JC2 is doing other stuff. the story feels like a filler at best!
