Minecraft almost at 1m sales

Minecraft is teetering on the edge of reaching a staggering one million sales, the game's creator has announced.

On his blog, developer Markus "Notch" Persson revealed: ""Minecraft will hit 1 million sales soon, and I have NO idea how to celebrate that! There's no time to plan anything!"

This exciting news comes only a day after it was announced that Minecraft will be nominated for a trio of gongs at GDC's Independent Games Festival – for the Grand Prize, Technical Excellence, and Excellence In Design.
