EA CEO Thought NBA Elite Was Going to be ‘Revolutionary’
It's not too often that a major publisher cancels a project so close to completion, but that's what happened with NBA Elite 11 back in November when Electronic Arts ultimately decided to scrap the game. The game was supposed to have been a reinvention of the publisher's NBA Live franchise. The game at first was delayed, but the problems ran too deep, and EA was grappling with putting out a sub-par product on time for the basketball season, or a more polished one way too late into the season.
