GamersTV Channel: Trolling or Flamebaiting?

Trolling and Flamebaiting have a loyal fanboy base all over the world. But which of the two do you prefer? Check out the spam on GamersTV and vote for your favorite method.

MerkinMax3239d ago

And if you own both consoles, play both. They are both great games.

Boody-Bandit3239d ago

I played GT5 all day today and two days ago I was pecking away at my event list on Forza 3. Not trying to win or lose points with anyone here but merely stating the truth.

These articles are not written by gamers but attention seeking whores looking for hits. Gamers play games, fanboys rant and rave.

rockleex3239d ago

Wouldn't be surprised if Turn10 bribed some more people to vote for Forza in this poll like they did that one time. :D

GWAVE3240d ago

Forza 3 or GT5?

For me, neither, 'cause I don't enjoy racing games. Opinions!

creeping judas3239d ago

wow, i respect that comment out of you!!

user8586213240d ago

Neither cuz their so boring

Boody-Bandit3239d ago (Edited 3239d ago )

If they are so boring to you than why are you here posting under this article? Yeah that makes sense. /s

AKS3239d ago

I prefer GT5, but both are very good games for fans of cars. I can just buy both since I own both a PS3 and 360. I'm glad I don't really have to choose between them. Competition should bring out the best in both developers (but unfortunately the worst in fanboys).

MNicholas3239d ago

but it isn't a sim.

Forza 3's tracks are inaccurate by choice. Turn10 intentionally changed track dimensions to make it more "fun."

Forza 3's driving physics are somewhat arcadey as well and lacks the nuance and subtle feel of a true sim.

Forza 3's crashes do not feature real time deformation. They simply swap out sections of car geometry and textures.

Been playing this game nonstop for the past week

Oh My God, really didn't try Endurance Races before but Dam they are long. The first one took me 1hour 45 Min. Does anyone know if they literally want you to drive 24hr on Nurburgring???

MariaHelFutura3239d ago (Edited 3239d ago )

Nitrowolf

YES.

Endurance seperates the Lovers and the Likers.

Nitrowolf23239d ago

@MariaHelFutura

oh man
My PS3 is gonna be on for a while then. Now i wish they added a save state mode so that when i go to school for 2 hours i don't need to leave the system on.

RememberThe3573240d ago (Edited 3240d ago )

I love GT5. I could never get into Forza, the driving always just felt off. I'm not one to hate on Forza but I do prefer GT.

I got my b-specs running right now. Gotta get me some more premium cars :)

Boody-Bandit3239d ago

GT5 is definitely more diverse than Forza 3. I spent the whole day today just Rally racing and tomorrow I am going to break out the Formula cars.

nix3239d ago

honest, don't buy Ferarri F1s. u can't use them in Spec A/B.

PS3n3603239d ago

GT5 for gameplay absolutely but Forza for overall graphics. I find the shadow jaggies in GT5 too distracting to let it pass. The models are great but the shadows just ruin it for me :(. Anyone else finding this or heard of an update to fix it?

GamersTVChannel3240d ago

Frank did you read the article? Maybe you should read it first before you pass judgment.

FrankMcSpank3240d ago (Edited 3240d ago )

I love how you always get defensive when people disagree with your articles. I read it. But do we need another article like this? BTW some dude on your site in the comments section who said that "Forza's graphics are goood and GT5's aren't" has a spam link in his comment. Thought you should know...

EDIT: At below....No it's not a crime. I voted GT5...lol.. But I am still going to give you some sh*t about it...

GamersTVChannel3240d ago (Edited 3240d ago )

I'm not defensive about anything I post, we all have our own opinion and I just wanted to hear everyone else. Its just an article that I wanted to shed my views on. And I wanted to see what everyone else has to say. Is it a crime?

GamersTVChannel3240d ago

LOL I can't get mad at that I have tough skin I can handle any criticism.

Joe Bomb3239d ago

Don't let the teen titians aka "Sony Defense Force" get to you dude. Any even remote crticisim towards the PS3 will get you to one bubble within a weeks time. They should rename the site N4PS3fans.

As I've already said, Forza 3 for me & good article from GamersTVChannel.

Klipz-Wish3240d ago (Edited 3240d ago )

I bet most of the people who vote dont even like driving sims and will do so because of brand loyalty to the consoles

STREET x KING3239d ago

haha thats so true!! i don't like sim racers at all. i bought gt5 and its cool but not my taste. i only have 1 friend that likes sim racers.

jack who3240d ago (Edited 3240d ago )

GT just now doing stuff Forza 1 did 5 years ago.

just saying

edit:

Damage

Forza Motorsport (1) is also notable for its ability to realistically model damage to cars, from both a cosmetic and a performance standpoint, which was (and still is) a very impressive feat in terms of acquiring the licenses for the 200+ cars.

Customization

One feature is the ability to change the look of your car, from changing the color to applying decals. The tool set is somewhat difficult to use for novices, but when used properly it is possible to create some very striking designs.

Physics engine

One of the game's most-lauded features is its physics engine. Like any racing simulator, Forza Motorsport calculates a car's performance in real time using physical data (for example, the weight of a car's engine, its drag coefficient, etc.). The result is a driving game that many believe matches closely with real life.
suggested line

Forza has a handy "suggested line" feature that is one of the slickest innovations in racing games to come along in a long time.

When activated, the suggested line acts as a dynamic tutor that demonstrates the line over which to drive, as well as how much gas or brake pressure to apply at any corner on a track. Because the suggested line is dynamic, it changes depending on the car you're in and the speed at which you are traveling.

i would go on but its pointless now

ActionBastard3240d ago (Edited 3240d ago )

Forza 3 is just now doing stuff GT4 did 7 years ago.

just saying

EDIT: You first :D

jack who3240d ago (Edited 3240d ago )

that is/?

edit

yeah cuzz gt was the first ever racing game

and i love how sony fans wanna play the sale's game now

SuperKing3240d ago (Edited 3240d ago )

You do realise that Forza's core game-play elements are ripped exactly from the original Gran Turismo? You know, win races, complete events, get awarded cars? Just lately they announced Top Gear for Forza while GT5 had it announced ages ago.

Gran Turismo games sell copies in which Forza can only dream of.How much did the last one sell? Cos I'm betting GT5 outsold it on its launch day.

Are all forza fanboys this desperate? To be honest, I didn't even know it even had any fans. lol

Edit: So your saying Forza has to copy? Cos PD innovated and Turn 10 couldn't take the chance and create their own game (PC/PS1/N64 for example)? Everything you stated in your first post is laughable, so many other games introduced way before MS bought T10. I won't even bother refuting it.

And what's wrong with the sales game? It's the only thing you 360 fanboys understand. Now you're trying to weasel out when it's not in your favour? How pathetic. lol

Tinasumsum3240d ago (Edited 3240d ago )

I'm going with Meta critic on this one.

Narutone663240d ago (Edited 3240d ago )

Sure, whatever float your boat.
Here's your realistic damage and physics: http://www.youtube.com/watc...

lugia 40003240d ago

Here´s my response http://www.youtube.com/watc...

For 5 years turn10 would do better than this.

BrianG3240d ago (Edited 3240d ago )

Because we all know that crash physics are all it takes to make a game. /s

And we also forgot the games PD did release during that 5 years. Also while creating the engine for the game.

Turn 10 had 5 years with their Forza franchise, and I'd still tip my hat to GT5, because its doing just that much more to make it the better racer for me.

Not every game can be pumped out in a year or two. Considering the work PD has done on GT5 and its engine I am pleased. The game is great, runs great, and is entertaining. It does feel a tad bit incomplete, but patches are fixing that thankfully.

As a gamer I'll take what I can get, and what I could have got was Forza 2, or GT5, I chose GT5 and don't regret it. I'll also keep my eye on Forza 3 for you Lugia, just to see how much better Turn10 does with their next game, what, more than 6 or 7 years for a franchise? (Considering initial development of Forza 1)

I don't have anything against Forza, but don't assume another developer would have done better when they had their chance.

EDIT: Almost forgot, Happy New Year to you.

RememberThe3573240d ago

All you have to do is pay attention to accuracy of the tracks and the cars and you can see what I love about GT5 so much. There are some things that bother be outside the gameplay, but once a race starts I'm completely locked in.

STONEY43239d ago (Edited 3239d ago )

Turn 10 has over 200 employees, over 60% of there cars are outsourced for modeling to a company in India, another company in the Middle East did all the tuning parts, wheels, and a few tracks, and they re-use car models from previous Forzas. That's the only reason they can pump out games so fast.

Polyphony Digital only has a team of a little more than 100 people.

dragonyght3239d ago

@Lucia 4000 funny turn 10 had 2 games during those 5 year yet not much improvement that's where your argument fail

Forza 3 only has 8 cars on a track at once, no weather effects, no night racing, no rally racing, no kart racing, the cars look pathetic in comparison to GT5's premium cars, runs in 720P and has 2d trees AND has repeated bushes/repetitive environments and it's on 2 discs. GT5 wins.

STONEY43239d ago (Edited 3239d ago )

"Forza Motorsport (1) is also notable for its ability to realistically model damage to cars, from both a cosmetic and a performance standpoint"

Because crashing the front, then having the entire car, including the back and sides, look like it was scraped by sandpaper is soooo realistic...

"One of the game's most-lauded features is its physics engine. Like any racing simulator, Forza Motorsport calculates a car's performance in real time using physical data (for example, the weight of a car's engine, its drag coefficient, etc.). The result is a driving game that many believe matches closely with real life."

Forza's physics are nowhere near realistic. Especially with that permanent active steering assist which cannot be turned off. They tried to cater waay too much to the casuals (widening the normally narrow Nordschleife, rewind, ect.). A comparison using the same cars at Laguna Seca between GT5 and Forza 3 had at most, a 10 second difference in laptimes. How can you explain that?

"Forza has a handy "suggested line" feature that is one of the slickest innovations in racing games to come along in a long time."

Once again... if you're casual. The driving line is extremely distracting. And it's never as good as just using basic cornering principles and using your own line. Even if you're not confident without the driving line, just turn it off. You really realize how easy it is to determine braking and turning points when you don't have a giant line covering the screen.

What the driving line does is cause you to become overdependent on it, and never really improve. Once again, a very casual feature that ruins racing games. I hate how most of them have it on by default too.

Pyscho_Mantis3239d ago

Haha why would I want to draw a pictures of cocks on my cars. Customisation is not important in a sim. Forza 3 just has it for a way to make in standout cuz without it it would be a blatant GT5 rip off.

Physics engine. Yeah right. Everyone whose ever driven a car before knows Forza has a bad physics engine compared to GT5.

Also damage is pre recorded in Forza so a crash will always look the same but dynamic in GT5.

Braking Line....wow Forza fans are getting desperate.
