Every other week, The Half-Life Mod Archives takes a restrospective (and sometimes current) look at one of the many user-made games in Half-Life's long catalogue of mods. The second edition's mod is Frontline Force.
Andrew Cretella writes: "I’m used to being the young one. Well, I am young, but my memories of Frontline Force serve as a sobering reminder that I’m not as young as I used to be. This wasn’t a mainstream hit with thousands of players. Along with The Specialists, Desert Crisis and several others, Frontline Force was one of Half-Life’s cult classic mods, a beloved relic from the game’s heyday before Half-Life 2. It reminds me of my age because it has truly come and gone, a phenomenon I have personally witnessed. A long time ago it bustled with daily activity and competition, but ten years later, Frontline Force is, to the sadness of only some, completely dead."
