Infinity Blade Review (GameBlurb)

GameBlurb writes, "First, forget about Epic Citadel. This game shares only the graphical quality with that app and has nothing else in common. Second, Infinity Blade is definitely not the killer app that it was being touted as. Games like Street Fighter IV and The Sims 3 easily offer a better, more rewarding experience. However, for what it does and while it’s an acquired taste kinda thing, it offers a unique experience that’s not found elsewhere and can be thoroughly enjoyable."

Wow...guess this game isn't for everyone.

Got an iPad for Christmas and have been tempted to grab this game just to show off its power. Gonna have to think about it more, might just stick with the free Epic Citadel for that.

I agree, it is the best looking game on the iDevices. I would still like to see other developers adopt the Unreal 3 engine for app development. So when are we going to see iCryEngine? :D

It's brilliant, the reviewer said he is on his third bloodline which pretty much rubbishes the review.

Until you've seen everything the game has to throw at you including harder fights and better armour and spells their isn't much point trying to evaluate it. The better you get at the game the more fun it is.

Only criticism I'd give is that the buttons for dodging left and right are too far apart and seem a little unresponsive when you are trying to dodge last minute, sometimes they don't register at all.

The game it's most like is Demons souls with the structure of Breath Of Fire 5 thrown in for good measure.

I really hope Epic tries to implement more games using this engine on the iphone/pad

I actually thought the game was great, maybe could've used more content and a lower price, but for what it was, it's good stuff.

I don't have an iPhone but I wish I could play this game. From what I've seen one can be really good at it or really bad at it.

Infinity Blade Now Available For Free On The App Store

TTP:" Infinity Blade, the hack and slash game developed by Chain Entertainment released a few years back on the App Store, is one of the best iOS games ever released. The game sports a variety of interesting gameplay features that make it incredibly fun. While all these features have been improved and expanded in the two sequels, Infinity Blade is still worth a play even today."
