wow now thats is low. good for the budget pc gamers. and bet it still look awsome.

mrv3215294d ago (Edited 5294d ago )

If you can afford a $50 game... you could probably afford a HD 5750 or 5770 which are good budget card for about $110.

With that card I was easily able to play Starcraft 2 on high at a good FPS. Untill the card broke and even then my built in card to the AMD 550 BE could run Starcraft 2 on low.

MAJ0R5294d ago

remember though, those are minimum not recommended...

Neo Nugget5294d ago

They most definitely can afford it.....however, whether or not they actually want to shell out the dough is an entirely different story.

mrv3215294d ago

Honestly if my friend came upto me and said that they have the money should I get a HD5770 or two games, I'd go get the HD5770 because you ATI 1600 will next Unreal won't work

STONEY45294d ago (Edited 5294d ago )

"remember though, those are minimum not recommended..."

I doubt anyone who games on PC still has a GeForce 6800, which was from around 6 years ago.

GamerPS3605294d ago (Edited 5294d ago )

@Stoney

I have GT6800 :D
I play guild war on it and PC is my main platform of gaming.

pimpmaster5294d ago

i can play crysis on high, im pretty shure i can run this game even withought knowing the requirements lol

kingjoker345294d ago

I just bought my pc, i have to wait to get a good GPU, so for now i only have 1650se nvidia.
so i can only run games like portal and old games. but atleast now im playing them.

TheLastGuardian5293d ago

This is why I stick with consoles. I don't have to worry If a new game I want will be able to run on my machine without upgrading it.

nveenio5293d ago

I'm still running an old 939 3800+ and 3.5GB Ram. I've got an 8800gt, but it works fine since my monitor's native resolution is 1680x1050. I used to play Crysis on Very High, and I would just deal with the framerate dips to about 19fps. However, the whole computer is starting to slow down because it's just so old. The fan in the video card is starting to tick, and the CPU is about to burn itself out. So, I'll be upgrading the whole kit at the end of January, anyway.

That being said, a console is definitely the better deal. Why? Because a console's games get better over the year, just like a PCs...only you don't have to upgrade. Sure, you get a higher res with PC, but Uncharted 2 looks pretty good, and I get to play it while I lay in bed.

I only get games on PC when they're 360 "exclusive", because I don't have a 360.

Lone5292d ago

"This is why I stick with consoles. I don't have to worry If a new game I want will be able to run on my machine without upgrading it."

Your visuals never improve until the next generation either. Give and take.

disc in console, controller in hand, a 32 inch tv and a hassle free experience. no doubt it would look better on a pc but i dont want to be messing with settings and pondering whether my graphics card is up to it, i'd rather just kick back and relax.

Chnswdchldrn5294d ago

you seem like the kinda person who would buy a mac

Letros5294d ago

lol discs, now those are a hassle

GamerPS3605294d ago

aren't you playing extraction or whatever with move? There is not sit back and relax with it ;)

TheLastGuardian5293d ago

@GamerPS360 orly? Because when I play RE5 Gold Edition with move I can sit back, relax and still have great precision.

Deathstroke5294d ago

I just hate that they removed the 180 from the game.

MariaHelFutura5294d ago

I didn`t even notice that. That sucks.

Dead Space 2: system requirements -- Buy a PS3 and be done with it.

Pandamobile5294d ago

Why buy a $300 PS3 when you could have a PC that runs it fine?

Balt 5294d ago (Edited 5294d ago )

Some people probably don't care about graphics and speed and technical jargon that matters none to the end experience.

These are the people who buy consoles. They also probably prefer being comfortable and relaxed while they game and watch movies too. I don't game a lot, but when I do I like to sit back and relax. I hate nothing more than sitting up right in front of a computer screen 2 feet from my face with my hand on a mouse and my other hand punching in keys. That's just not for me.

And, yes, I have a very powerful computer that can number crunch most anybodies computer -- I choose to use mine for editing and art. Not gaming.

In the end, If you buy a Ps3 or an xbox 360, whatever you choose, you can then buy other software for it. And since you're buying a console anyways, you probably shouldn't care about graphics, speed and other technical jargon that matters none to the end experience anyways.

-MD-5294d ago (Edited 5294d ago )

"Some people probably don't care about graphics and speed and technical jargon that matters none to the end experience. "

Sorry what? Then explain why so many PS3 fans are signing petitions against Black Ops. All that techinical jargon that matters none to the end experience sure is ruining the experience.

Also multiplatforms on a PS3? Where have you been? Developers almost always shaft the PS3 version.

LunaticBrandon5294d ago (Edited 5294d ago )

@Balt

You can use a gamepad and your TV when PC gaming. Crysis 2 is even going to have aim assist when you use a controller, expect others to do the same. It will be just like playing on a console only it will look good.

hoops5294d ago (Edited 5294d ago )

Balt, you do know that you can hook your PC to ANY HDTV in one simple step? It's actually very easy to do.
You can also use ANY game pad for said games if you want to. Xbox360 controller or PS3 controller on your PC.
So why would you want to sit in front of a monitor...unless you are like me and have three 24" monitors hooked up together for eyefinity gaming at resolutions the PS3 and Xbox360 will never ever achieve...AND game at above 60fps with real Anti-Aliasing....
But to each their own.
I prefer my multi-platform games to run at next generation resolutions and quality...something the PS3 and Xbox360 fail to offer.

LOL I get a disagree for stating the truth. Everything I stated above is FACT.

"Some people probably don't care about graphics and speed and technical jargon that matters none to the end experience."
"And since you're buying a console anyways, you probably shouldn't care about graphics, speed and other technical jargon that matters none to the end experience anyways."

That's totally why there are all these "graphics comparisons" here, and people still aren't playing on their PS2s. Or people complaining when a game runs at sub-HD.

Of course people care about graphics.

badz1495294d ago

maybe because the PS3 version will come with Dead Space extraction as well? just like MoH with Frontlines? 2 games with the price of 1! pretty good deal to me but I agree, not something to buy a PS3 for!

Raider695294d ago (Edited 5294d ago )

Well my answer to you is:Im going to play it on my console of choise plus my 42" plasma and leave my alienware M17x 5870cf standing close!

Moentjers5293d ago

Because I've seen with many pc customers that it starts with a mid/high-end pc to replace it every 3/4 years but it ends with putting a high-level graphics card every 2 years in it for a price that costs you many games.

PS3-exclusives alone will cost me a new PC with graphics card this year, why loose all that money on hardware ?

Xfanboy5294d ago (Edited 5294d ago )

5770 > PS3 because of moore's law

a $120 card out preforms it!
http://www.newegg.com/Produ...

1080p 60fps
http://www.youtube.com/watc...

for the price of 2 ps3 games (if you have a desktop..)
your tv's resolution (1080p)that made you buy it will actually be used!!
it hurt me to see the XMB in 1080p then soon as I pop in BFBC2 my tv says 720p on the top right coner!! (bad version choice)(should of gone pc)

or do more in 720p
http://www.youtube.com/watc...

sorry! :(

LunaticBrandon5294d ago (Edited 5294d ago )

Or add the cost of a PS3 or up to $500 depending on when they got it to the computer they're using right now. They easily could have had a gaming rig without paying extra and you save $10-20 per game.

Moentjers5293d ago

@Lunatic

yeah, I forgot.

PC games come for free...

hassi945293d ago

@Moentjers

You're missing the point. He's saying since people have a semi-decent computer for general use, adding a new graphics card will at least make it play games on medium/high and only cost an extra $100 instead of $300, as well as saving money on pc games (especially with things like the Steam Christmas sales).

Anyway I'm fairly impartial, I enjoy playing on my xbox and my pc.

LunaticBrandon5294d ago

Have fun with your 720p and aliasing.

hoops5294d ago (Edited 5294d ago )

@Amigatronic

You know what gives away a Sony fanboy?
When they spew the same crap you just did.
When someone states how the PS3 has low resolutions...low textures and the PC is superior in comparison...
They automatically think they are XBOX FANBOYS.
FYI. The hardware in the PS3 AND the Xbox360 cannot compare to a mid range or high end PC. The Xbox360 and the PS3 are last generation systems in every single way when it comes to hardware.
As for best graphics? The PS3 still has not passed Crysis 1 in graphics and open world physic effects.
Lets not mention Metro 2033 or upcoming games like Witcher 2...
Oh..And when the PS3 and Xbox360 can use dx11 effects like Tessellation and ADOF and use HDR at higher FP then 10 what these consoles are stuck at...
(The 9700pro did this when it was released and did it at FP24) When the PS3 can do all this, then you can talk about the PS3 having the best graphics...
and it's still stuck with 99% of its games at 720p or less running post production AA instead of real AA.
One question to you Amigatronic...

Were you singing hardware praises last generation for Sony when the Xbox and the gamecube were more powerful then the PS2? Did graphics matter to you then? Or was it gameplay? Careful what you spew because next generation Nintendo could end up with the most powerful hardware....Will you flip flop and cry game-play and not hardware?
Xbox fanboys flip flopped like this with the Xbox360. They spoke about graphics and power when the Xbox was the most powerful console...then said game-play only matters when the PS3 out powered it.
Why do I get the feeling if the guard changes people like you will pull a flip flop....

jay25294d ago

You could tie and gag this PC upside down on a bridge and it'd play this game on max settings.

Ruggadagod5294d ago

ps3 version for me. i get all my multiplatform games for it and i don't have a gaming pc.

Raider695294d ago

Im getting spoiled by my new M17x 5870cf but im still going to get it on console and play it on my 42" plasma!

Letros5294d ago

Look on the side of your laptop, I know it may surprise you but there is an HDMI output there just like your console!

EA Shoots Down Dead Space 2 Remake Rumors: 'No Validity to This Story'

EA has shut down rumors that EA Motive considered a Dead Space 2 remake before shelving it due to low sales of the previous game, saying there's "no validity" to the reports.

XiNatsuDragnel440d ago

Sure.... right.... at least remake dead space 3 w/o microtransactions bs.

XiNatsuDragnel438d ago

I sometimes I wished I didn't Ngl lol

Knightofelemia439d ago

Why not remake DS2 whether shot down or not it's still my favorite game next to DS1. As much as I hate EA I would buy or would have bought DS2 day one.

MeteorPanda439d ago

No validity XD "Guys guys, we cant possible make a good game or cater to the gamers wants, stop"

Yi-Long439d ago

I don't know if sales met their expectations or not. I just know that the high review scores received my attention so I was interested in buying it, but its price stayed high (50+ bucks) for so long that I simply never bothered picking it up.

Tacoboto439d ago

Doesn't pay full price
Doesn't pay *any* price
Ponders if sales met expectations regarding an allegedly canceled sequel.

Gee...

Yi-Long438d ago

Well, for starters, I'm sure there are plenty of games I never bought which did, somehow, still, meet their sales-expectations.

Concerning Dead Space; I never played and thus cared for the original. It's in multiple genres (shooter, sci-fi, horror) I don't particularly care about so it was barely on my radar pre-launch. I was never its target-audience.

When reviews hit, and it was scoring big, it gathered my interest, so while it wasn't in my field of interest, it mrans that I wanted to give it a fair shot and at least give it a try, as I do with many games across different genres; I tend to just cherry-pick the good stuff and see if it's for me or not.

But, I do wait for sales on those games I take a risk on.

Kornholic438d ago (Edited 438d ago )

Lol, you are a huge part of the problem. If a very high-quality game is not even worth 50 bucks to you, then what is?

13 Years Later, Dead Space 2 Is Still A Perfect Video Game

Nameer from eXputer: "Dead Space 2 is a sequel that delivers such a feast that by the time you're done, you're not only full but also satisfied."

Aaroncls7459d ago

It was amazing. All 3 DS games game solid for me, but 2 was special.

hombreacabado459d ago

i can do without ds3 but the first two are solid.

mariopasta459d ago

Hope they remake this one too. Just like they did with number 1. The remake of Dead Space 1 was perfection

Terry_B459d ago

thanks to the digital pass for it it was not perfect..in fact its difficult to find a working copy since many years.

Battlefield Bad Company 2, Dead Space 2, Crysis 3, and a handful other EA games have finally had their online services shut down.

I had no idea that Bad Company 2 was still running, and only now that I know, I want to jump on! 😥

I was able to find games in the Vietnam dlc on ps3 the last week. There were articles on here about the server closure when it was announced in April

DaReapa562d ago

BF1943 is the only online MP game that I was genuinely interested in. Been playing since launch 14 years ago. Hate that I couldn't put in as much time to play as I'd hoped for during the final week.

Inverno561d ago

I got really into 43 when I bought Bf3, and preferred it. Everything that I disliked or found annoying about Bf3, wasn't an issue in 43. Too bad they never bothered releasing it on PS4 or PC.

1nsomniac561d ago (Edited 561d ago )

Dead Space 2...... I wasn't even aware that had multiplayer. Nevermind that it was apparently one of their best multiplayers!

anast561d ago

Once people stop buying micros, these companies close the doors.

Xenial561d ago

Dead Space 2 multiplayer had been hanging on for years - I'd boot my PS3 up to see some familiar names in lobbies. This will definitely be missed!
