Pocket Gamer - We’ve come to take the humble 2D platformer for granted. We forget that they're actually quite bizarre.
Think about it: they’re set in weird worlds filled with bottomless pits and magically floating clumps of land. Even the most normal of main characters is capable of jumping many times their own height and changing direction in mid-air.
Pocket Gamer: It's hard to do 2D platforming well. There's relatively little you can do in terms of innovation, but you have to get the core mechanics spot on or the end product will be flat.
Pixeline and the Jungle Treasure just about manages to avoid most of the pitfalls, building an interesting and creative mobile platformer.
A family-friendly, accessible little adventure who's at times clunky touch controls are offset by solid gameplay and a positive attitude. Full review by Brittany Vincent.
