I still have the Go with the dock and a paired sixaxis controller. I could have used a DS3 but since the PSP games have no rumble, why waste a rumble enabled controller on it.

I still have my psp, psp go and vita.

Home brewed to be retro gaming machines. I love them, my kid picked the go over a 3ds.

I never wanted to bother with psp go.. first it was too small for my hands and didn’t like the clicking d pad but mostly because it didn’t support my physical games. It was DOA and it just flopped so hard so fast

And long before that Sega came up with the Genesis Nomad and nobody cared.

You've also been able to connect a phone/tablet to TVs for years and nobody cares.

darthv72120d ago

Not... quite the same. Sure you could plug it into a tv but you had to hold it while playing. The PSP 2000/3000 would be compared to the Nomad as they did the same thing. Plug into a tv but you had to hold it to play.

Not very convenient.

It wasn't very hard to modify so the P2 controller port actually controls P1.

boing1120d ago

Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't Nomad taking full fledged Genesis/ Mega Drive cartridges? It was basically handheld tv console.

Maybe Sony needs to support their hardware a bit better?

JEECE120d ago

Yep. The Switch wasn't a success because it can be a handheld or a home console. It was successful because it did that AND it was a well-supported device that was Nintendo's primary focus for a full generation.

Such a painful pill for sony to swallow. They really should have supported the vita and psvr2 much better. games like resident evil on psvr are too few and far between, the 1st party support has always been lacking.
