Playstation Network Platform Up and Running

Yesterday Gamespot provided a review of the latest build of Full-Auto 2 that they played at Sega's development offices..

Buried right near the end of the article was this little quote "It's also worth noting that we played Full Auto 2's multiplayer on the actual PlayStation network platform, so apparently Sony already has its online gaming infrastructure up and running well ahead of the new system's release."

Couple this with Sony releasing the 50GB Blue Ray discs (finally) and things look to be steadily falling into place...

yessssssss!!!!free online gaming from launch day

TheMART6887d ago

premium quality never comes for free. Two choices:

1. Free but sh!tty with lags like PS2 free online gaming
2. Basic free like XBL silver, but pay per game to producers for running good servers

Just choose. I would take paid and enjoy instead of free and be f*cked up again

NitrogenB6887d ago

Do you have any experience w/ ps3 online service...no...none of us do, so my advise to you would be to stand up, go over to a wall, and slam your face into it until you stop breathing...you might sound a little smarter then...

TheMART6887d ago

Well it's called logical thinking

- PS2 online service was also free and would be great according to Sony. We all know it stinks

- Furthermore we know that all premium quality comes for a price. It's simple. And what is free and good, like Microsofts Hotmail service, is paid by advertising.

It's one or the other. If you don't want to hear it or read it, plug your fingers into your ears or don't read any posts. These are legit remarks. Live with it or leave this site

NitrogenB6887d ago

legit remarks, you have no basis for them other than what ps2 offered last generation...and they delivered exactly what they said they would...a free online service...that's exactly what it was, you played people online....for free...it worked...anywayz, stop basing your arguments on last gen, giving us two choices when you haveno idea what it's gonna bring...no clue, so anything you say is theory, so don't try and pass it off as truth...that's all I'm sayin...you asume too much when you know nothing of the ps3's online capability...leave with that.

4me26887d ago

"premium quality never comes for free"

So you finally saying that$600 for PS3 is what you pay for quality? LOL

TheMART6887d ago

Nope. I was talking about 'free', not about an overprised betablurayvideplayer where the BR drive is the most expensive part in what should be a GAMEconsole.

I wouldn't call 400 dollar/euro for a Premium 360 'free' actually, even not a 250 dollar/euro Wii.

Too many things are overpriced as is the paystation. Like Sony let people pay to much for Betamax, Minidisc and UMD. Another format of them that will fail because of the price. Including the PSZero with it's crappy quality BR drive like the PS2 drive was crappy

Silent6887d ago (Edited 6887d ago )

I think xboxx60 is rated toddlers. Imagine the annoyance, headace, aggravation and stress.
No adult in the right mind would get a xboxx60...or would they???????

THELANDSOFSAND6887d ago

lol

you are the kind of people i report or block on live!

;)

TheMART6887d ago

Actually you funny dumb kid, I own a PS2, but the DVD drive gave up on me after a short time of gaming. Sony didn't want to replace for free and wanted to charge me a lot of money. So I threw it in the closet and bought an original xbox and now a 360 with premium service.

So please, shut up about things you don't know mate. You don't own a 360 otherwise you would feel great about XBL. I guess you're Lametime with a new nickname again because your spelling stinks like his!

Asuka6887d ago

"So please, shut up about things you don't know mate" LMFAOROFL

and you were the one talking like you know everything about PS3 online, way to contradict yourself buddy

TheMART6887d ago

I am not saying I know what the online system will exactly be like. I talk on logic thinks of price or free and the possibilities on that. Again:

Well it's called logical thinking

- PS2 online service was also free and would be great according to Sony. We all know it stinks

- Furthermore we know that all premium quality comes for a price. It's simple. And what is free and good, like Microsofts Hotmail service, is paid by advertising.

I read the preview of full auto 2 and saw the same thing, the netork is up and running, how sweeet is that. This goes in the face of all the 360 fools out there, that said Sony would ahve a network, that it was all the developers servers. Also, the 50GB Blu Ray disc is out, man, its all voer now 360, take it like a man.

THELANDSOFSAND6887d ago

"so apparently Sony already has its online gaming infrastructure up and running well ahead of the new system's release"

the key word here is APPARENTLY. they obviously don't know what the multiplayer was running on, and their best guess is that it is using the PS3's online hub, but they don't know.

Silent6887d ago

RPG & Adventure Developers are going to LOVE this. Some one is going to make a game that is impossible to get finished LOL...

TheMART6887d ago

So who were on this online network then? If the game is only in the office of the producers running on their devkits?

Right. The article didn't say anything about online MP over internet. It just ran on an internal HUB for sure

kingboy6887d ago (Edited 6887d ago )

doesn`t concern xbox @ss, if ur tired gaming with 360,take some sleeping pills and go to bed.

don't you have some grills to promote?

Project: Horned Owl Review

From the mid-1980s to the early part of the 2000s, light gun rail shooters were a staple in both arcade and home system gaming. Arguably, the genre started to really hit its stride in the mid-1990s. While games like Time Crisis, Virtual Cop, and House of the Dead, among others, dominated both the home system and arcade space, some one relegated to only home game systems. Today, we’ll be talking about a little-known cult game published by Sony called Project: Horned Owl. This game was developed by Alfa Systems, and all in all, this is a fun game.

The score for the first Plants Vs Zombies is such great, iconic music that it has a timeless quality. Not quite the level of Minecraft, but wonderful in its own right.
