XMNR: Disney Tangled is the latest movie tie-in videogame from the House of Mouse for the Nintendo Wii. This time it centers around the retelling of the classic tale of Rapunzel and her extra long hair. Developer Planet Moon thankfully decided to skip the party game collection (just think of the hair braiding mini-game possibilities!) and went with something more akin to an adventure game.
From the Review:
"With the recent release of Disney’s Tangled, I thought I would try the Disney Interactive Studios Wii game of the same name. Joining me in this endeavour was our youngest Thumbs member, who also wanted to weigh in with her unique perspective. Even though this is a game that can be played in both multi-player co-op mode and in single-player mode, my partner-in-crime has a bit of difficulty with the controls (being very young will do that to you); however, we still managed to both get some time in for what is ultimately a fun and charming, family-oriented adventure."
Andy Robertson writes: "A little sentence that crops up in pretty much every game we've played: "Unsaved progress may be lost". Take a moment to think just how unhelpful that catch-all statement is. Surely the game knows how long it has been since the last save and how long it will be until the next save point. Why not share some of that information. Too much like hard work?"
It’s another slow week as we descend further into the new year with only 4 “new” titles up for grabs.
