TI Announces DarkChip 4 and 3D DLP HDTVs

Today, at the CEDIA Expo, Texas Instruments (TI) unveiled two DLP technologies that will certainly revolutionize HDTV.

First, the company introduced a new DLP chipset called DarkChip 4, which will be available in a number of DLP HDTVs and projectors in 2008. This new chip features the levels of high brightness and contrast picture quality seen on digital cinema , of which DLP Cinema is the founder and uncontested world leader.
