UK based Thumbstar Games has hit the new and noteworthy section with Dynamo Kid Touch for iOS. Guide DynamoKid as he tries to collect as many stars as possible. A Platform gaming for the touch-age, Dynamo Kid Touch takes you back to the 8-bit and 16-bit era with quick gameplay and retro visual style.
In a world of bland black and white, it takes the work on one kid to bring the gift of color to the masses. This kid is none other than DynamoKid. The new game DynamoKid Touch on the iPhone from OrangePixel will have you injecting color to the transparent colorblind or die trying. The overall game in a nutshell is a great concept, but falls short of some of the bigger games in the platforming genre that feature characters like Mario, Sonic, and so much more.
STP: Not too long ago, it was accurate to say that the iPhone was lacking in quality platformer games. That isn’t the case now, with shining stars like Hook Champ, Earthworm Jim, and Gomi among others. In other words, bringing weak sauce nowadays won’t cut it.
IGN writes: "DynamoKid Touch is a good concept. I hope developer Orangepixels keeps at, cleaning up the controls and/or tweaking with the speed to make it a little fairer. Everybody likes a challenge, but the cards seem too stacked against the player.
