NextGN: A Note To All Editors Regarding Black Ops

NextGN writes: "I think gamers have been tolerant enough with the Call of Duty series, specifically the PlayStation 3 owners. Through the past three years PlayStation 3 owners have had to deal with a far more inferior product as apposed to the Xbox 360 version. They have dealt with sub high-definition graphics, noticeable frame-rate drops, buggier online and multi-player modes, and they have received little to no support from Activision or Treyarch. Despite the many shortcomings of the PlayStation 3 version this has never effected the outcome of the games overall rating."

This guy deserves a standing ovation! This article nails the point. Perfectly said and I couldn't agree more. Activision deserve a lawsuite or something like that.

Call me stupid but I bought both the PC and PS3 version of the game. I am doubley pissed. What am I to do though? I can't get a refund for it. I support this article 100%. People should spread the word.

I have given up on Black Ops online. One in every ten games I am not disconnected. He is right about it should just be a Xbox exclusive.

SodoBot5314d ago

They shouldn't have made this game at all. In my honest opinion, the series died before MW2.

BrownRanger5314d ago

This really sucks because Black Ops could have been great. If they worked on both console versions equally it might have had a chance for Game of the Year. But, like this article says all editors should not even consider it as a candidate!

@BrownRanger,

We included it in the top 8 worthy titles - but we will be making some changes to that later today.

It's a shame we still don't have identical PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions....

While i appreciate the gesture.... all of these retro classics have been made available everywhere else. I am hoping to see some other Activision properties make their way out of the shackles of the 5th, 6th and 7th gen. Licensing be damned... bring back the Transformers Cybertron games.

P_Bomb28d ago

Love the Cybertron games! TF games have been shit lately. Would love to see that era revisited. I even did the multiplayer!

MrBaskerville27d ago

Is the retro classics for all consoles?

Obscure_Observer28d ago

Metaphor on Gamepass just announced! O.o

Seriously, this is the best generation of Xbox ever!!!

We can´t catch a freaking break from awesome games arriving all the time!!!

Deathdeliverer28d ago

It’s a HELL of a game. If you like JRPGs in the family of Persona, you will be in heaven… that is until you hear the various battle music…. then you’ll be somewhere BEYOND heaven!

Just finished Clair Obscur. This should be fun.

Only a big company that has interest in gaming like Microsoft or Tencent could have acquired Activision. Extremely low interest rates at that time certainly helped.

Not exactly sure that a merger with EA would’ve benefited any of their franchises or gamers. I imagine it would’ve been like the activision blizzard one were each publisher retains their own identity. So Activison-Blizzard-EA. But who knows.

fsfsxii125d ago

If it was owned by EA, COD could’ve disappeared a looong time ago. They have no clue how to manage franchises.

Gamingsince1981112d ago

It's a shame EA didn't buy them then, COD should die, it's past its prime and has been since black ops 2, I started playing it when cod 4 mw first came out and it has been downhill since.

thank goodness we dodged that landmine 😒
