Richard Worrall writes: "AMA Studios have chosen a peculiar name for their debut Kinect title. It’s a name that, in its context, suggests a degree of freedom from the constraints of traditional controls, and a kind of evolution in fighting game design. These are promises that the game cannot keep, and arguably it never had any intentions of doing so.
It’s not unreasonably unkind to say that Fighters Uncaged is fundamentally broken. To see anything here but opportunism is difficult, as AMA attempt to capitalise on expectations for Kinect’s potential without actually tapping into it constructively. The concept itself deserves exploration, but the execution here demonstrates only that it’s not yet found the right hands for the job."
