Nothing like naughty dog's Crash bandicoot..

TheLastGuardian5326d ago (Edited 5326d ago )

A reboot is what the series needs. If Naughty Dog bought back the rights and made a PS3 crash games that are like the first 3, that would be a dream come true. I'd also love to see a Crash Bandicoot Collection of 1-3 and CTR.

If we ever want the old Crash back, first things first, Activision has got to go. Sony should publish and ND should develop.

Blacktric5326d ago (Edited 5326d ago )

Neversoft? I mean come on! Bring Naughty Dog back and we're all set to kick some boxes and eat some peaches baby! (that sounded kinda wrong).

Edit: Oops wrong person to reply. Sorry :). Anyway, Neversoft, in my opinion, is just the wrong choice. And don't get me started on the Activision.

Edit 2 for below: Yeah, sorry. But it's been a long time since I've played the game :).

TheLastGuardian5326d ago (Edited 5326d ago )

you mean crates and wumpa fruit. Oh well I still call them boxes and peaches. PS1 Crash games haven't aged a bit imo. I still play them from time to time. Crash is one of my most nostalgic series. It sickens me to see the franchise in the hands of money hungry Activision and crappy developers.

Brewski0075326d ago

This is needed. Naughty Dog would be doing the franchise a serious injustice if they never rebooted it.

HolyOrangeCows5326d ago

IDK about Neversoft making a Crash Bandicoot game.....I mean, they DID create Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 and Spider-man on Ps1 (Non-movie) back in the day. But after all these years of re-spitting out Tony Hawk, then Guitar Hero games, do they still have the right stuff?

badz1495326d ago

sure ND was the father of crash but he's not theirs no more! I think they sold the IP before they made Jak& Dexter

Yeah it would be nice to see the original team back on it.

Croash5326d ago (Edited 5326d ago )

My account's name is begging for another Crash Bandicoot from Naughty Dog.

I can't believe how the series went downhill ever since Crash Bash, at least The Wrath of Cortex was decent, but then, ouch.

Reaching 105% in Crash Bandicoot 3 was so satisfying, it was a really challenging game.
Now if developers are only aiming for kids with a new CB game, it will certainly not be what many fans would wish for.

jammy_705326d ago

Be like warped, thats a fucking classic!

TheLastGuardian5326d ago (Edited 5326d ago )

Naughty Dog should do what Insomniac does and have 2 seperate development teams. The older members of Naughty Dog would make up one team and they could buy back the rights to Crash and make a few Crash and Jak games before the end of PS3's life cycle. The newer members of Naughty Dog would make up the other team and they could work on Uncharted games.

Sucker Punch should do the same thing so they can make a Sly game and an inFAMOUS game every other year. Then 3 of Sony's best 1st party devs could both have a platforming series for the current generation and keep making Uncharted, inFAMOUS and Resistance games. I want the old platforming trio back.

iamtehpwn5326d ago

I only want it if a quality developer can do it. While no one could live up to Naughty Dog themselves did it, But the Crash games after PSX have been fairly mediocre. Hopefully it doesn't go the way of the failed Sonic reboot.

Crash has been rubbish since Crash Bash tbh. It was all gold before that.

Croash5326d ago

Gold only? You meant Platinum.

jashmister5326d ago

I think crash bash was alright but after that i only liked the music of crash twinsanity.

Sun_e5326d ago

They need to bring back those Crash commercials on TV too

TonykomatMK5326d ago

LOL yeah the ones from back in the PS1 vs. N64 days were hilarious!

xYLeinen5326d ago

This is the decade of reboots :p

TonykomatMK5326d ago

Hopefully reboots like Devil May Cry and this one end up good (if this one is true that is)

xYLeinen5326d ago

I'm overly happy with the Castlevania reboot tho. I know many aren't because it's not a "Castlevania" game, but for me it's my game of the year without hesitation.

Raendom5326d ago

Was watching my brother play Crash Bandicoot 3 today. There is something I miss about games not being serious. Just meant to be FUN. Would love Naughty Dog to maybe re-acquire the CB license.

InvaderZim5326d ago (Edited 5326d ago )

i actually have to agree. i hope ND gets crash back. if they dont then i doubt the next crash bandicoot will be any good. just my 2 cents tho. @MajestieBeast: exactly my point

1996 Voted as ‘Best Year in Gaming’ by UK Public

Have you ever wondered what the best year in gaming was? Well wonder no more! The British public have had their say, and voted for 1996.

Limitedtimestruggle1014d ago

I have some many fond memories as a 10 year old gamer from back then! The best of times!

Dfooster1013d ago

Yeah that is a good choice. Great times

Snakeeater251013d ago

Lol Nintendo 64 … talk about a shitty year for gaming

Old McGroin1013d ago

The N64 was amazing at the time, how old are you, 12?

CobraKai1013d ago

Mario 64, Mario Kart, WaveRace. They’re prolly too young to appreciate em. My kids love the N64.

Terry_B1013d ago

No..1996 was not a good start for the N64. The system had a lousy start in comparison to the SNES, Playstation and probably even the Sega Saturn.

CobraKai1013d ago

So…. Nevermind the first time Resident Evil or Tomb Raider was released, a damn near arcade perfect port of Tekken 2, Quake, Wipeout, Crash Bandicoot, Super Mario RPG, Nights, Panzer Dragoon Zwei? It’s shitty cuz the old N64 is it?

BrainSyphoned1013d ago (Edited 1013d ago )

More of a 97 person myself.
FF7, Symphony of the Night, Gran Turismo, Grand Theft Auto, Dynasty Warriors, Diablo, Fallout, Tomb Raider 2, Mega Man Legends, GoldenEye, Turok, Wing Commander Prophecy, Star Fox 64, Einhander, Tobal 2, Bushido Blade, Colony Wars, Ultima Online. Was a great year to start working at Funcoland.

After10Ben1013d ago

You beat me to it. I loved both years, but 97 was one of my favorite years ever.

Marcello1013d ago

2013 was a good year too. Dead Space 3, The Last of Us, GTA5, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, Tomb Raider reboot, Bioshock Infinite, Batman: Arkham Origins, Splinter Cell: Blacklist, Grid 2 & more.

Limitedtimestruggle1013d ago

Dead Space 3? That game only deserves to be on rock-bottom lists. In my honest opinion.

Marcello1012d ago

Its is very Marmite that game but to me it was only that love story nonsense that was bad, really bad.
