Life has been rough for the iconic Sonic the Hedgehog over the past ten years. Year after year, another title in the Sonic series has released, with reception ranging from mixed to utterly awful. Recently, Sega has pulled its low-scoring Sonic titles off the shelves, vowing to improve the quality of the series that once put them on the gaming map. Sonic Colors is one of the first Sonic games since that emphatic declaration. Does Sonic Colors provide a ray of hope for the franchise, or does the prism that created the colors need to be polished?
SEGA has announced Fearless: Year of Shadow, a campaign that celebrates Sonic the Hedgehog and his brooding acquaintance, Shadow.
GamesIndustry.biz writes: "Relic is best known for the Company of Heroes and Dawn of War games, and recently developed the new Age of Empires for Microsoft. Relic will transition to an independent studio and will no-longer be part of the Sega group of studios.
The majority of the 240 job cuts are across Creative Assembly and Sega Europe, while there will be a ‘small number’ cut from Sega HARDLight. There was no mention of other Sega UK studios, including Two Point Studios and Sports Interactive."
Sega had such a turbulent existence from the mid-90s to when they dropped out of console manufacturing entirely in 2001, it’s understandable if you’ve never heard of the Genesis Nomad.
That's disappointing. I've been loving Sonic 4: Episode One. Seems like they still can't get their act together without going retro.

^Disappointing people? I'm not at all interested in this game, and quite frankly, I hate the Sonic franchise, but a 7.2 shouldn't be disappointing for a SONIC GAME. Seriously.
DS is much better then.
