Botchweed: Fallout New Vegas Review

In 2008, Bethesda wowed the gaming majority with Fallout 3, the first new-generation game in the series, and likely the first that many people played. It took the form of a first person role-playing game, in which the player navigates a deadly post-nuclear wasteland. With a combination of brutally amusing combat and haunting, desolate level-design, the game became an instant hit with press and public alike. Two years on, developer Obsidian (comprised of many Fallout 1 and 2 veterans) tries their hand at the next instalment: Fallout New Vegas. But is this game a high roller, or a… Okay, I don’t know enough about gambling to continue the metaphor – but you get the idea.
