TheCelebrityCafe Movie Review: Paranormal Activity 2

Paranormal Activity 2 is a prequel to Paranormal Activity (2007). The story revolves around Katie’s sister, Kristy (Katie and her boyfriend Micah were the main characters of the first film), her husband, Dan, his daughter, Ali (from a previous marriage), Martine (the housekeeper), and their German shepherd, Abby. Kristy and Dan bring their newborn son, Hunter, home. The film then skips to Hunter as a toddler, which is when the paranormal activity begins to start.

This film was connected with the first one instead of being a completely different story. The events in this seem to be much more intense and somewhat scarier. I did find myself trying to predict what was going to happen throughout the film and I only had about a 25 percent success rate so it isn’t necessarily a predictable thriller. You’d expect all of the paranormal events to happen at night but some of the scares happen during the day.
