I got the episode 1-3 bundle. It's no professor Layton but still a fun & kooky game. I'd love yo see a Eye/Move/Sixaxis style game puzzler to use all kinds of interesting motion styles to solve clues in a mystery game. Like Trace Memory, or Ace Attorney series.
Indeed. Does Nintendo own Professor Layton? I assume they do, but if not then I'd love to see one for PS3. It's such a good franchise. Maybe it's best on handheld anyway...
Actually, that's Level-5. Same guys who made White Knight Chronicles.
Yeah I know Level 5 are the developers, but I'm asking if they also own the franchise? Do they self-publish in Japan? I know the games are published by Nintendo in the West.
My answer was to say that they own the IP, not Nintendo. Here's the US Trademark info: (used a link earlier, but USPTO links are now temporary and won't work after 20 minutes) Filing Date November 16, 2007 Owner (REGISTRANT) Kabushiki Kaisha LEVEL - 5 DBA LEVEL-5 Inc. CORPORATION JAPAN Kamiyo Yakuin Bldg., 1-20-3, Shirogane Chuo-ku, Fukuoka JAPAN
Thank you so much for the info! Bubbles for you, sir.
