Amazon reveals Dead Space 2 Collector’s Edition contents

Although not yet announced, Amazon has leaked the CE of the upcoming Dead Space 2. Before being taken down, I was able to save the picture of the upcoming edition. It includes a replica plasma cutter, soundtrack, art book, and dlc costume.

Extraction looks a lot more enticing to me than the cheap Frostline "port" bundled in MoH.

My main problem is that collectors editions aren't really for collectors... but idiots with too much money who want night vision goggles.

I'd like to see a small cost extra in limited amount 10,000 with a box and a small METAL item, like a for example

For Mafia 2 for a small 1950's car.
For Black Ops the tomohawk knife.
For Gears of war 3 the chainsaw
For Halo 3 the AR

Basically iconic stuff from the game which just shows that you are a fan of the game... for Like $10-15 extra and maybe some 'AUTHENTIC COLLECTOR' piece of paper.

I think that's great, because I don't want something large and costly that is of bad quality.

Why not some small metal replica of something in the game... which you can put on a shelf as their value increases.

He must be talking about the EU edition as the US edition doesn't get the second book. Eu gets 2 CEs. Normal edition is 70E, CE is 75E with extra cars and the apex book. And Signature is extra cars, wallet, keychain, coffee table book, apex book, metal sculpted box with SLS AMG obsidian black paint, 1:43 Replica car, USB stick with an exclusive trailer and participation to an in-game/real life competition to win an SLS AMG.

I acknowledge it was an accident and all, but can Amazon get sued for doing this? It must really nark off EA when something like this happens. Looks way to "real" to be fake, if you get me... If you look at the picture in detail it looks extremely authentic.

I'm going to go with "for sure" rumor-wise. If this turns out to be false I'll eat my shoe!

Should I get this game, I just don't know. I like the demo of the first one, but I'm still confused about it. Money isn't a problem, its just the fact that I don't know if this is worthy in my collection of PS3 games. Any suggestions?

The first Dead Space was easily one of the best games this generation imo. Everything about this game was great and part 2 will be even better.

When E.A. announced the C.E. for Dead Space at $150.00 I thought they were Nukin' Futs but after playing the game I bought most of what was in the pack and spent almost $150.00 getting it all because I like the game and I.P. that much.

I tried double dipping and getting a C.E. but they were limited and there were none to be had.
I kick myself for not getting it then, I won't make that same mistake with DS 2

I think the standard edition will do me just fine. Extraction alone is a nice bonus.

I agree. It seems like c.e.s are the norm anymore. This franchise is definitely worthy, but when extraction comes included in the ps3 version, I can't really see upgrading for an artbook and toy. However, I do like the c.e.s for exclusive games. I must say though, that Dead Space is one of those rare multiplat gems that stand tall with the AAA exclusives on both the 360 and ps3! A must buy whatever edition you decide.
