IGN: Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus iPhone Review
Even though it doesn’t exactly advance the ball, Modern Combat 2 is Gameloft’s best shooter yet. The single-player action is sharp and well paced, even if wholly predictable: big wave of dudes, quick time event, wave of dudes, sneaky single kill, repeat. Whatever. It works well, even better than N.O.V.A. But it’s online that really takes things to the next level, with persistent perks that inspire you to keep playing. IGN recommends it anybody seeking a great shooter for their iDevice, but folks with a Retina screen on theirs? Do not hesitate.
