Heavy Rain was fun and had a good story, but I hope they do something with more action. The action sequences in Heavy Rain were intense, but I wanted more of that feeling. I remember playing through that game just trying to get to the next fight or car chase.

AKS5372d ago

Then I'm not sure Quantic Dream's games are for you.

BYE5372d ago

Not sure about that, I think in order to appreciate action scenes, you need to have slow parts in a game.

Nonstop action sequences would be fatiguing and lame, in a way.

DarkTower8055372d ago (Edited 5372d ago )

Btw, DAMN!!! I would've thought QD's next game was well under way. This means we will probably have to wait another 1.5-2 years for another game. Spring 2012?

avengers19785372d ago

@AKS I bought and played and enjoyed Heavy rain, I also played a game much like heavy rain called Indigo Prophecies(or something like that)
Just because I wanted a little more action doesn't mean I wouldn't go out and get a new game from them.

AKS5372d ago

@ avengers1978

I understand. Tastes differ. But Quantic Dream's games are probably just going to be that way. It's more of a psychological thriller that delivers excitment through anticipation and moral dilemmas rather than explosions or a high level of action. This makes the rare major action scene more impactful in my view. This type of approach keeps me more engaged and moves me more emotionally.

I also tend to find psychological drama/ thriller movies to be more powerful, such as Rosemary's Baby.

Man great feature damn interesting!

Lord_Doggington5372d ago

not confirmed as multiplat, submitter?

NecrumSlavery5372d ago

What's with the 'Xbox 360' tag? It's not happening people, & like the 360 community would actually play this. They shat on Alan Wake and that was a good game.

DOMination5372d ago (Edited 5372d ago )

Until otherwise confirmed, there's no reason why this news shouldn't have an X360 tag.

David Cage himself said he was looking at multiple formats for his next game and besides, Sony would have snapped it up by now if they wanted it.

Joostin5372d ago

Pretty much confirmed by their recruitment page. All PS3 postings without the mention of Microsoft/360 anywhere on the page.

Convas5372d ago

The 360 community DID support Alan Wake. The adults and teenagers like me who aren't as shooter crazed. A lot of the folk on the official AW forums are multiconsole owners as well. That aside, AW is a niche game, not everybody is going to jump it. Especially not the gun-freaks and little kids on the 360.

But it did well enough because AW2 is in development.

NecrumSlavery5372d ago (Edited 5372d ago )

are you telling me 500K out of 42mil Xbox owners are not FPS junkies? Wow! Look, this isn't some troll comment. I dont get on N4G and spout nonsense. The 360 community doesn't support the originality that the PS3/Nintendo community does. Which is sad, cause the original Xbox was full of amazing games to include QD's IndiPro/Farenheit. But hey call me a fanboy. Im an Oddworld fanboy which was on Xbox to. But when it comes to consoles, I game primarily on the system that has everything I enjoy and the Xbox 360 does not have a very large selection of original IPs.

Hades13375372d ago

The fact that you interpret a perfectly sound comment as a fanboy comment just shows how much of a fanboy you are. You stereotype the entire 360 community as "not supporting originality" just because one game sells below-par compared to other 360 games. So the 500k extra sales that Heavy Rain got over Alan Wake shows that the PS3 community is way more supportive of originality than the 360 community? If that's the case, why did Modnation Racers sell so poorly if the PS3 community supports originality? Your philosophy is completely flawed.

YoshiMeetsU5372d ago (Edited 5372d ago )

Stop pretending QD are Sony first party. QD's best work is on the Xbox/360.

They didn't shat on anything fanboy.

AKS5372d ago

But Heavy Rain was more of a niche title than Alan Wake and fared much better in sales. The difference is that it found and audience that embraced it. Alan Wake had a terrible time in the US in particular, which happens to be the biggest market for the 360 by far and is the territory that is primarily response for the "shooterbox" reputation. I don't doubt that 360 owners who are receptive to a game like Alan Wake enjoyed it, as I'm one of them, but in general this type of game isn't going to be as popular on the 360 as it would be with the PS3 and PC crowds.

DOMination5372d ago

Sorry Bud, but your link proves nothing. I'm not saying the next game WON'T be a PS3 exclusive, but recruitment postings on their website is not a confirmation of anything.

If Sony wanted this to be exclusive then they would have snapped it up already. IMO, they should, because HR exceeded expectations. BUT The fact QD are still shopping for a publisher suggests multiplatform is more likely.

David Cage:
"After Heavy Rain the question can be asked whether we should stick to one platform or open out to different platforms. Now that we're established why are we limiting ourselves to one share of the market when we can reach more"

This has been my most anticipated Star Wars game in years. Can't wait to see what they have done.

P_Bomb151d ago

I like the accessibility option in recent games like Dying Light 2 and RE4, where you can simply hold a QTE button instead of spamming like a madman. 😌

got_dam151d ago

I thought this was canceled.

Terry_B150d ago

Nope..they just revealed it way too early, said already at the reveal it will be released in years

Miacosa151d ago

Wow, blast from the past thought this was canceled.

shinoff2183308d ago

I didn't teakize quantic dream was still around.

CrimsonWing69308d ago

Why is it taking so long for this game to come out?

ChasterMies308d ago

The departure of the lead writer likely means the story is done. The trailer for this game is amazing. Hope it comes out soon.
