Homefront Multiplayer Trailer Shocks and Awes

Today Gametrailers released the first trailer for Homefront multiplayer. The footage is amazing once you consider that its all in-game footage from a 32 multiplayer match.

Nice... The graphics don't seem possible on this scale. Beautiful.. Devs learning the console hardware is coming along great.

This video is old and very low quality but you can still tell the graphics have improved a lot.

Kinda looks like a sequel to Frontline: Fuels of War. Interesting but so many games are beginning to have that MW look and gameplay over and over again it seems. Heck their are some dev that want to have MW stuff in games that are in totally different genres all together. lol

It is made by the same guys as Frontline. If you can find the E3 trailer i suggest giving it a watch. This game looks like it could be epic

It's being made by Kaos Studios who made Frontlines. It has been in development and was supposed to be released in March of 2010 but there was a lot of competition (BC2 especially) so they pushed it back and are taking time to polish and refine it. Also it isn't exactly "modern warfare" seeing as how it is in the near future (similar to Frontlines). I believe that the story is that North and South Korea merge into Korea and begin to invade America and we defend ourselves. Not entirely sure though. Looks promising for sure.

i thought frontlines was a really good game, but homefront looks incrdible. this is what n4g should be about, giving us gaming news, not pathetic rubbish that has fanboys falling over themselves to attack the "hated other".

You obviously don't seem to understand my position. I have been interested in Homefront for quite some time. When I saw the E3 trailer, it looked pretty average, and I thought I was just going to try to be another MW2 clone, but to be able to push those kind of visuals ... IN MULTIPLAYER, with 32 players. Sir. That is a feat. And of course, as the saying goes, Campaign visuals are always higher fidelity than Multiplayer so ...

Anyways, say what you want, but I'm more impressed with Homefront now than with Crysis 2.

When this was announced I thought this was just going to be another generic FPS. But from the story, the trailers and this MP trailer the game looks like a quality game

2011 is shaping up to be a good year for gaming.

I only have 100% buy (killzone 3) so far, but there are alot of games that are on my radar as potential purchases. (infamous 2, homefront, crysis 2, twisted metal, project dark and more)

I need to get a PS3 and then for it, Killzone 3, Infamous 2, and Resistance 3, Uncharted 2 and 3, LittleBigPlanet 2.

For Xbox 360, Gears of War 3, and maybe Kingdoms if it's good.

Yes, BattleStrats, we saw that. It's also clearly bullsh*t. Spliced together 3rd person replay material does not equate to actual first person gameplay.

EVERY studio does this when hyping their FPS. Show us the game in FPS view, dammit. Not a misleading film montage of stuff that will hardly ever happen unless both teams stage it.

Well, it certainly looks the part. Graphically it looks impressive, but at the same time, right now it just looks like a MW2 Clone. It looks exactly like one of the MW2 single player mission maps. Thats not nessacerly a bad thing, but it needs to wow me more than that, im sick of MW2.

Also keep in mind that this could be the PC version. I remember watching Bad Company 2 vids around this time last year and thinking they looked graphicaly amazing. Well that turned out to be the PC version too.

99.9% of advertisements are the PC version or the console version running on Console Emulator (the PC they made the game on)

The game is looking better from when I first seen it but then again most COD MW2 clones usually at least look OK.

I have a hard time believing this was natural in game footage. Maybe real time footage from 32 game testers who were being directed on what to do.

We all know in every online FPS there is always "That GuY" hiding behind some thing just switching back and forth between weapons for like 5 minutes.

Finally in every round of every online game a teammate will always run you over with a vehicle and then not stop to let you in.

Everything looks impressive when you have both teams unrealistically go head-to-head at each other and then splice together a bunch of replay material.

Let's see how it looks from a few minutes of actual first-person gameplay.
