Football season is firmly underway and there are a bunch of great football apps for both the Android and iPhone. One of my favorite Android football apps is Flick Kick Field Goal by PikPok. These are the developers who brought us Bird Strike Gold Edition and Flick Kick Field Goal to the iPhone. This game is at the heart a cool field goal kicking game. The game plays with a simple upward swipe of your finger, but be weary of the wind and take it into account when kicking. The ginormous Android screen makes this app look and play quite well. There are 4 different game modes (practice, sudden death, arcade, time attack), global leader boards with achievements ala OpenFeint, and options you can tweak. This is an excellent game for either device.

148apps - After watching Dave Buehler miss his first career NFL field goal attempt for the Dallas Cowboys, I figured that I would see if I could do any better. Digitally, of course. I played soccer back in the day, but alas, that was back in the day.
