E4G: Civilization V is what you can expect in any game of the series by Sid Myers. As usual, the game does not have a story line in it, it does have a well made CGI intro that will make people think that there is a story, but that is it. I have always been a fan of the Civilization series, playing it all the time just to make time go by. This game does offer some improvements but nothing that is extraordinarily new. The graphics have changed and with support of Direct X11, the game looks good.
Civilization V continues to be one of the most popular grand-strategy games you can play on Steam, for about three years.
Love strategy but your processor and graphics card doesn't love you? The best strategy games for low-end PCs have you covered.
Philip Boyes:
When I was a kid, I played a lot of Civilization 2. I played a lot of strategy games in general, but having a deep love of both history and sci-fi, the epic sweep of Civ 2 from prehistory to the stars held a particular appeal. I loved taking my little people from their huts and ziggurats to the world of science and advanced space-flight.
I've never felt the need to buy a Civ title, despite being into RTS big tie. This one looks pretty cool though... Might have to break my tradition!
Pretty good review. I've been looking forward to this game for a while and I was hoping it end up being pretty good. Based on what I've seen, I won't be disappointed once I do happen to buy it. :D
Great read, just recently bout the game, a big fan of the series.
Looks like a good game
