5 of the Best Video Games with the Worst Replay Value

Linear Games Typically Don't Get Played Through More Then Once.

What makes a game so good you have to play it twice? For nick the answer is the story line. Just because a game has no replay value doesn't necessarily mean that it's a bad game; it could be loads of fun the first time through, but if you complete it in less than 20 hours, and the storyline is thin; you're just not going to want to pick it up again. These 5 games display just those characteristics. (A run through of the game will leave you feeling like perhaps it was all too quick) This is nicks list of 5 games with the worst replay value.

I haven't picked up god of war 3 once since beating it. Great game, there's just not much reason for me to go back to it.

That's a good one... your right, no new game plus, no enhanced features, nothing to play for after you beat it ...

God of War 2 at least had the bath scene right at the beginning for you to quickly jump into. Shame it didn't really show anything though! or was that GOW 1? blah I can't remember which ones which anymore lol

I'm not ashamed to say I have beaten both Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2 multiple times. If I like an RPG enough I'm willing to play through it a few times. I'm currently on my second play through of FF 13.

FFX-2 felt too much like a Charlies Angles rip off for me to play it twice. XD Final Fantasy X was fairly good on the other hand, but the whole running across fields to get everywhere thing was rather annoying.

I wish Square would bring back the air-ships ... FF1 had one FF2 had one FF3 and so on until FFX then bamb suddenly there is no more Cid(Typically the engineer of the early air-ships)

Seriously the airship and the hidden content is what made FF6 so great! (Bohzo) (Kupo!) (MoMo) (8 Dragons) yeah ROR was great ...

BTW how is the game play in FF13? I'm thinking of buying it but I don't want another FF12 ... I hated all the automation of FF12 made it more boring then any other FF game I've played.

lol I lost it with all the singing and giggling in FFX-2, I mean the battle system was one of the best in the series and they had the worst type of story, I mean when I saw a pop concert open the game I knew it was trouble.

But the thing about replayability is that if I beat a 10 hour game 5 times it still wouldn't cover how long I played the average FF game, so as far as value goes, if the first playthrough was deep, engaging and it feels like it was worth you time, then you got value for the purchase, even without MP or replayability.

FF13 is strictly a love it or hate it game. I think its great but I recommend people rent it first. The battle system is particularly something that is not for everyone. The later in the game you get the more convenient it is to just set your battle commands to auto and just worry about shifting the characters to the right roles at the right time.

actually they are wrong about MGS, you have to play twice to get both endings, or save before the torture sequence
