Famous actors in video games

VideoGamer.com writes: "If you thought big Hollywood actors only starred in feature films, you'd be wrong. With games becoming more and more mainstream, it's rare that a high profile release doesn't feature a recognisable name. Here are 10 of the best."

looked at the entire article, that display picture is not present. choose a picture from the article that is more appropriate for all ages and not one that screams desperate for hits.

Samuel L Jackson is a film whore.... he could turn towards video games and pop up in at least one game every couple of months....lets hope developers have sense but then again Nolan North is a video game whore and he is doing great in each video game

Urmomlol5028d ago (Edited 5028d ago )

Ten fucking pages? Really? You guys barely wrote 100 words per listing and you thought it was necessary to stretch it out for ten fucking pages?

Hit whoring much?

You know web sites like cracked write 2000 word articles and split up into two pages, right? They do that because their shit is actually interesting to read and people will click how many times they need to in order to read it.

That is certainly not the case with this generic, poorly written list.

The voluptuous Cylon played Kerrigan? News to me!

jakethesnake5028d ago

I read that a few days ago - and now every time I hear Kerrigan's voice, it's all I can think about!

He was in Call of Duty: World at War also.

Who cares about Keifer when they even left Ron Perlman off the list?

This entire article fails because Ron is not there. Like... how the hell can they keep him out of it?! He is probably the most respected of the actors to have been a part of a video game.

This guy is the No.1 on every stage play directors list, he chooses to refuse 99% of the movie scripts he is offered, he is a master of what is called method acting (he actually told Wesley Snipes not to hold back when hitting him in Blade 2 because he wanted the move to to look real when Blade gets to meet the pack for the first time!!!!!! Wesley is a pretty hard guy in real life), He was offered one of the roles in Saving Private Ryan but turned it down because he wanted to honour a stage play production where he was paid less than $25,000 for a first time direction from a friends fiance....

This man is genuine, properly graduating through the Shakespearing Acting schools and commands more respect in the industry than Tom Cruise, yet this ignore him in this article?

Fail article in my opinion.

Black ops 4, because it was the last cod of duty I was able to dominate with a +2 k/d ratio. Before all the freaking cheating started to happen. It was nice catching people off guard and shooting at them first and getting the kill. Unlike now, where I shoot people first, but they gun me down with less hits, less time, literally feels like they can kill me in a split second. At times, they are able to run away after me shooting them way more than necessary, yet, the second I'm spotted, I'm dead, there's no me running away to cover. They can do cartwheels, summersaults, backflips and gun you down perfectly. They can shoot you across the map with perfect accuracy. They can jump around like morons and gun you down without even having to correct their aim. They have superman split second perfect reactions. That's the best way to describe it, everything they do is spot on perfect. They can spam and spray (no praying) their gun from far away, because they have no recoil or bullet spread. It always feels like I have to aim and also correct my aim when moving around, while these pricks don't have to do the same.

And yes, I know how to play fps games. I dominated many fps games like: Resistance 1&2, kz 2&3, Socom, MAG, Crysis, Gotham City Impostors, blitz brigade etc. all with 2-4 k/d ratio. Kz2 (lag input controls) and resistance (no aim assist in resistance) being the hardest and were the games I reached either close to a 3 k/d ratio or above.

I truly got to enjoy blacks ops 4 and got my money's worth out of it. Afterwords, I would either stop playing cod games after a while, because of the cheating, or would skip buying cod games for a year or two before buying another.

Games That Were Bad on Release, But Are Now Great

BLG writes, "Some of the most popular games have had a rough start, with some of them being downright unplayable.

Despite that, developers have managed to turn it around for them and make their game worth playing. Here are some games that had a rough start but were pretty great."

Good list..hoped to see Street Fighter 5 there..and it is.

Vits50d ago (Edited 50d ago )

Sea of Thieves... I'm not disagreeing that the game has improved in terms of content. But I feel that the most significant change between now and its release is actually the public perception. Nowadays, most people are aware that the game is a multiplayer PvP-focused experience first and foremost, and not "Black Flag made by Rare". Consequently, people dismissing the whole experience because the single-player aspect is lacking or the story is plain are much less common.

darthv7250d ago

Several years ago, i submitted an idea to Rare that would change up the mechanics of battling opponents in the game. whereby if you died in battle, you turned into a skeleton warrior and had to fight your way back to the land of the living. It was an interesting twist on respawning and would allow the player to experience both sides of a battle.

I keep hoping to see something like that get added to the game.

Kaii50d ago

They consider FO 76 & ME Andromeda to be great now 🤭

anast49d ago

Every game in the last 2 decades...

INMATEofARKHAM49d ago

It's sad that this quick retort is more often than not true... The industry's acceptance of release and patch has gone too far.

gunnerforlife49d ago

Days gone! By the end of the game I couldn't drop it down! I went around so many hours killing zombies! It was addictive by the end.

S2Killinit49d ago

That game was just plain good game. It didnt improve, it was just good.

gunnerforlife49d ago

I don't know, I got it abit late, and struggled for a few days, and then all of a sudden it just got good!!

If this is true, I hope it leads to Morrowind getting remade next.

-Foxtrot63d ago

I thought they’d go for Morrowind first to be honest but this is a welcoming surprise to tide us over before ES6

TheColbertinator62d ago

Well said. Exactly my thoughts too.

Tedakin63d ago

Unreal Engine isn't efficient for open world games, so I question the reliability of this story.

isarai63d ago

Yeah, 1st thing that came to my mind too, although i CAN see it being likely for ease if use, but it's not going to run very well if so

Tacoboto63d ago (Edited 63d ago )

I'd wonder if it would just be exploiting Unreal for graphics but the underlying engine/logic is still the original framework.

Like how we had the graphical remakes of Halo Anniversary, Tomb Raider I-III, and Demon's Souls.

Could also end up a disaster like the GTA Trilogy

mkis00762d ago

I have heard that too but even if it's modified isnt arkham knight UE?

Fragslayer62d ago

"remake will run both an Unreal Engine 5 project and the old Oblivion project. For instance, new graphics are rendered in the Unreal Engine 5 project, but most of the gameplay and physics are still done on the original Oblivion engine"

So with this logic it'll run just fine using UE5 tool sets on top of Gamebryo's engine or maybe even Creation Engine, who knows.

Hopefully modders can fix the aged combart in this game if this is true. Enemies leveling up with you broke and defeated the whole purpose of leveling up.

Fragslayer62d ago

Yeah it could use some tuning for sure hence the need for a Remake not a Remaster. I'm surprised it's even a conversation within them group which makes me skeptical it's Oblivion. I wouldn't say they shouldn't level up at all though maybe just a leave them a couple levels behind to appease the masses.
